I was actually thinking about the implications of the screen on the back. Now if it falls on it's back, there's a part that can go wrong. No phone case designed for this phone will cover the whole back since it isn't meant to now, and that leaves the back of it vulnerable. Cool tech, I just wish they integrated that screen with the camera module, something like the Meizu Pro 7, so that phone cases wouldn't have to have like two cuts on them, one weirdly on the middle of it, because considering how gigantic this phone is, I reckon it'll fall from the hands of a lot of people.

@@iau I would. They will cost cheaper by then. I don't see the reason of buying the latest and greatest phone every time it comes out. I did in the past with the pixels, and when Motorola was still making pretty good phones, but I always went back to one of my older phones since every time they come out with a new phone they remove something.

This seems like a super good phone for emulation. You can technically plug in the charger and use the extra fan if you wanted to convert this thing into a portable emulation machine. The air triggers and accessories are especially useful in that.

I can't play it one my Samsung a20 which is pretty surprising considering I have pretty standard high ram. Genshin is actually one of the only games I've ever wanted to have but couldn't get due to specs not meeting criteria.

I have the basic rog5. And I'm loving it the battery life, it's amazing and it lasts me throughout the day.
Really happy they brought the 3.5mm back. Very tempting now.

I'm rocking the ROG Phone II and it's a phenomenal phone EXCEPT for the fact Asus neglects the updates for it's ROG phone line. The ZenFone line gets priority updates but ROG users (who pay more premium prices) get left behind. WTF Asus?

I always buy my phones unlocked from 3rd party sellers, and I have used some experia phones in the past, not bad, some nice features, they need more brand presence and people need to stop buying phones laden with uninstallable bloatware from their carriers.

With 256GB and higher capacity μSD cards starting to become available, the expandable SDXC slot option variation of the phone really adds value.
So this thing, even though it has a 3.5mm jack, is not good enough.

I bought the first ROG phone and After less than a year the air triggers totally stopped working, phones battery had expanded for no apparent reason and any lightest drop would completely destroy the screen. DO NOT BUY ANY GAMING PHONE! They age like milk, there are no cases for them and barely any repair store will have the right parts. Doesnt matter how good it is, DO NOT BUY A GAMING PHONE.

Would be great to see someone touching on red tint and black crush issues of the display from the ROG phone 3. I was going to buy one because of all the positive reviews, great speakers and awesome battery life last year. I mostly use my phone to watch videos. But there was clearly very bad display issues that no tech UA-cam even acknowledged

I have the ROG Phone 2 beast and love it, but I am sitting here debating on ordering the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate. Call me crazy, but that thing is insane.
Active cooler is not for lowering the temperature it's for sustaining peak performance for longer periods of time
I saw Mrwhosetheboss’s review and I thought “wow, except for the camera, everything else seems to be super awesome”. Boy did he miss some important things! This is why Dave is the best; straight to the point and includes technical analysis wherever required!

Dave. Both Marques and yourself said that you "couldn't think of another manufacturer who removed the headphone jack then put it back." But the Sony Xperia did that same thing bringing back the jack after 2 iterations.
The first time I see someone mentions Bezel is good especially for gaming. So glad to hear that. Personally feel 0 bezel is overrated except for look, for holding, using, playing, bezel just feels more comfortable

This phone has a durability problem: Cpu pcb in the middle of the phone means it compromises structural Integrity and the phone can snap in half if you apply force in the center of the phone.
So, you're gonna need a rugged heavy case if you don't wanna break this phone.

Wow, the fact that the phone has a built in program where you can choose how much you want your battery to charge is amazing.
If I was addicted to using styluses (spen, soon to be apple pencil after my next business purchase/investment of an I pad) the I'd totally buy this phone because of the battery maintenance/charging feature.
I usually relair my phones and swap out the batteries ever year, with my note 10 plus things are different, it's way harder to open/won't be as waterproof after so I've been keeping the battery between %20-%90 since I bought it 2 Christmas's ago. My batteries still going very strong, can game all I want it and watch UA-cam for 6-8 hours with Bluetooth headphones still.
I'd love if my phone had the charging maintenance features built in.

I've been using the Rog 2 (12/512) since it was launched end 2019 as my daily driver and it's been fantastically great till now and I'm probably one of those weird guys who did not play games with it. I wanted the 120hz refresh rate, great front speakers, Long lasting battery (11 hours SOT) and high ram. Not upgrading to the 5 as the specs of the 2 is great enough as daily driver but the 5 do look amazing though.
The thing about 120hz, once you've used it, going back to 60hz would be a problem.

Sold my iPhone to buy two razer phones, one for me and one for my boyfriend, almost two years ago when I saw it on sale. My usage focuses on media consumption and casual 5v5 gaming. Razer phone beats iPhone for me. Long battery life, surround sound front facing speakers, fast charging, fast performance, refresh rate, storage, etc. Gaming phones are awesome.

To be fair, you can’t really put games on the microSD card now. You would think that’s a nice reason to get expandable storage but Android doesn’t allow for that anymore. (I could be wrong)

I think it might be to old to get a review of today. But I just bought a Asus ROG Strix G G531GT-BQ002T second hand and I really like it. It's a well built machine. I'm sure you will be happy with the G15 :)
about expandable storage, i think i heard SD cards on phone doesn't help to speed up the phone but in fact it may slow down the phone. It takes up more reading and writing time for the phone to access data from cards to the phone. The only kind of devices that would work well with a SD cards is devices that focus more on the camera capabilities, to store 4k video, high res pic what not.
