This map is genuinley incredible. I've so far played 2 lives. My first was very lucky, I had a lot of food and great clothing, but was approached by 2 dudes looking for food. They killed me after I gave them some. My 2nd is still on-going. I nearly died of dehydration before finding a well. Decided to log off there.
Got thru six or seven lives yesterday. Definite learning curve. The snow is such a vibe. The mountains are beautiful. The morning sun FEELS warm. Water and food are HARD to find. Fishing is king. Finally got plate carrier and OMK jacket, snowstorm hat, but cannot for the life of me find a long rifle. Got lucky with an SSG from a dynamic police event.
I'm absolutely thriving on the new map. Everytime it looks like I'm about to hit rock bottom, the game throws me a bone. Soon as I had my first successful hunt by killing a reindeer I've been square ever since. Teamed up with a couple of Rando's for a while. found a few others dying of heavy metal poisoning and killed them at their request. And its been interesting. I'm on the southwest side of the island now, and it's pretty lonely there. Not a lot of people are making it that far inland.
So currently have a pretty buff character so from playing sahkal for 24 hours I can tell you this sahkal is rough map they really test our abilities to master map locations of things (loot is very scattered your gonna have to loot everything and the key when you start is head south west of the main island (while doing this you must stop at at least 3 of the military bases after your geared your gonna heat buff and run into Italy hit all the barraks and tents I suggest going through the beach and all the way through going through the multiple bases be careful I get anxiety from going through there lol but yeah eventually your gonna have to make the run back after that I believe u should be geared to the moon
My Sakhal server is vanilla +, meaning a few quality of life mods and added airdrops with survival items to create and additional event since there is no heli crashes. Experienced players tell me the map has made them fall in love with DayZ all over again.
This map is definitely not as hard as all the streamers and DayZ admins have hyped it to be. The map is awesome, not complaining but it’s definitely not difficult.
I feel like if youve played namalsk most of this is easy to get used to since its not very different. Its just the new map and once you get used to it everyone will be good
Dayz been my game since launch. I love the new map. no offense to this guy, but he makes me feel so much better about myself 😂. Im currently still on my original character, have two kills under my belt.. currently thriving. I think all the hardcore servers ive been playing for the past couple years have paid off. Sahkal is definitely not easy but so far im thriving in the struggle
3:41 I don't really know anything about PC builds. I don't want a monster but something that can run warzone/rust smoothly. Which one of the builds is the one for someone like me. If anyone helps greatly appreciated.
For someone new I'd recommend "The Explorer" tier at $1,500 before any discounts. The Intel Arc graphics card in "The Guide" may be a little trickier to use when updating graphics drivers for a new PC user (and the NVidia 4060 graphics card in The Explorer is about 15% more powerful to boot).
I wondered the same thing. It looks like a pretty depressing game to play solo. I mean what's the point, to see how long you can scratch out a living before you die? At last he finally found a friendly player he could have collaborated with, and then he ran off. The motivation escapes me.... 🤔
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but i am not buing it at full price. I spend money for livonia, which is now free and have to pay 25€ for a map which, looks good, definitly, but by the looks of it is far from finished. I think the problem here is, as an PC gamer i'm spoiled by mods wich often overshadow vanilla. But really, by making livonia free and make me pay fullprice i fell in some way betrayed. I love DayZ but this i don't understand. Sry for bad english, tired af, busy day.

DayZ will forever go down as the most infamous survival game out there, out from the trenches but still legendary😆
It looks like fishing is going to be pretty necessary on this map early on. Also, I haven't gotten used to the new well designs yet.

Wow at one point you had kuru, a wound infection, salmonella and pneunonia at the same time. Quite impressive to get that many diseases.

I would either spawn in during the night and could see absolutely nothing or would usually starve to death during the first day.
Finally got on a server last night...... love it ! The falling snow and wind is very moody. heading for 3000 hrs on ps5
im pretty sure you started with heavy metal poisoning cause you boiled frozen snow water ion the pot, so it wasnt good water
My first character is on hour 2. I will say the snowball effect takes a lot longer in this map

People still play DooM. I actually just finished my billionth play through of DooM 2. DayZ is great. And they're not bugs they're "features"
