I'm glad that someone decided to create a tool like this for free.
The price of BlurXterminator is totally ridiculous, as well as the fact that it only works with PI.
I know a lot of astrophotographers argue that the price of these plugins, and PI, are worth it because you spend so much money on gear anyway, but I'd argue that they should be cheaper because we all spend so much money on gear, and a fellow astrophotographer/dev should understand that.

I'll have to play around with this a bit more. I tried it out on an image of M31 that I took last year. I had already done a fair bit of processing on the image using SiriL tools. It did sharpen up the dust lanes but it seemed to me it sharpened up the noise in the disk of the galaxy. But to be fair I did use the noise reduction tool in SiriL and the astro sharp tool does say not to try and sharpen the image before using. And the image I used was taken with my old camera and was fairly noisy to begin with. Thanks for the video! Nearly all the tips you have provided have really helped my processing work flow.

Sorry, you compare Apples with Oranges. This tool might be a great sharpening tool and it is great that it is free, but it is sharpening while BXT is a deconvolution tool. And this is a HUGE difference! So you could compare this one with the Unsharp process of PixInsight or the Topaz Sharpen AI, but mentioning it with BXT in a sentence makes no sense at all....
