Alien one shots are so good. They always leave you questioning things. Conner you did such a good job DMing! Perfect mix of rule of cool and the dice tell a story. I love it! Also I was pretty surprised that you didn’t get the labyrinth reference! That is the best part of that film! Zane to make it to the end and to die from falling out of the ship made me so sad. I’m happy that the Doc did what was right in the end though. Made me happy. I loved the himbo energy. Jeff when I have played alien I feel like my characters end up like your characters. I loved it. That was awesome. Also the whole time they were trying to leave you I was just screaming what about the coms?!? In the end that was an epic way to go out I tip my hat to you. Tyson! The reveal at the end!!! That makes everything make so much sense! I just thought your character was psycho, but being a robot!!! That explains everything!! Your character made this one of my favorite one shots because you guys usually work together so well, but he added a factor of what is best for the company not the party! Interesting dynamic from you guys. Keep up the good work y’all!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! It honestly was one of my favorite one-shots that we have done so far as well! I would love to do more in the future in this world and game system. It was lots of fun! I think all of the characters were so great! They all had such perfect endings as well! I 100% agree! Having the varying conflicts made it so much more fun to play. Having alternate motives that had direct conflicts with the group really made for a very interesting one-shot. However, you do need to be careful when doing that in your own groups. You never want to cause actual conflict at the table, but if everyone is ok with it then it is a great way to add intrigue. I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much!!
Ahhh! What an ending! That felt so perfect though for the mood of the campaign! Conner, great job! You rolled with the ideas SO WELL! I was sitting in my booth in my welding class working while listening to this, and when Zane asked his guy to find welding equipment so that they had fire, I laughed out loud. Then I started analyzing what type of welding equipment he would be asking for and the science of using said equipment against the xenomorphs... I had to rewind about 3 minutes to pick back up where I left off! That was amazing, and good thinking on your feet Zane! Thanks for another great one-shot y'all!
That ending really was so great! I couldn't imagine it ending any other way! Connor did such a great job rolling with everything! That's great that you were literally welding when we brought that up! Haha Hopefully you were able to find some good uses with the welders, just incase we have a Xenomorph outbreak! haha You never know. You've got to stay safe out there!
I can’t even imagine swallowing anything like that. That’s disgusting! Jefferson saying “shoot anything that moves” made me think of a one shot we did of Alien and we had found the nest and my husband shot whatever moved and it ended up being the ONLY survivor 😬😂 Also Jefferson’s little chant was totally Dune-ish. Fear is the mind killer. Legit thought Tyson was going to kill Zane when he said he wasn’t making copies, not ask for him to make copies 😬 Zane has seen too much is all I could think. The fact that Jefferson survived that was insane! Absolutely insane! And now needs to go check Christine’s freaking neck because I’m dying thinking she’s been face hugged! Dude. Tyson’s character. Oh my goodness. I didn’t even think about him being like Ash! I just thought he was a terrible human! Wow. What an ending!!! That was insane!!!
So glad you enjoyed it! That sounds like a great experience you had playing Alien! I love it when GMs find ways to twist what players say into something fun like that! Especially in the Alien universe, that feels like it just fits! My first thought was Dune! That is so great! I am pretty sure though that he was reciting the rifle creed of the US Marines, but it definitely has some Dune vibes. It's crazy though that his character survived everything. What a legend?! Also, that ending was just perfect! What a great way for that story to end!
