Hey Guy, you're right, we should try new Manufactures' RCs and see what they are truly capable of and worth to us as RC Hobbyists, from time to time!
I am not giving up my Maxx V-2 for any reason! But I would try a HoBao MTX the first time I think its time to add another one of this type of truck to the fold, no problem! I'm satisfied with what you've shown it to be worth to the community at large!
Be careful filling your pocket with to many of those "body clips" Guy! You kneel down just right, and you will have found another reason to call those body clips, "body clips"... or some "other" kind of clip! :)

Having multiple horrible experiences with rebrand of a rebranded rebrand rc vechiles I now only stick with Arrma and Traxxas. Some of them might drive decently for a few months but then things start snowballing and because of the lack of parts availability things have to get gerry-rigged together. 6 months later they are either in the trash or kept as a paperweight.
The maxx wins imo for the simple fact it doesn’t have pain in the ass body clips! It’s almost 2023, no new rc’s from major manufacturers should have body clip’s anymore! 😂

I’ve got both haven’t opened the Habao yet. But I 🙏🏽 it’s better than the Max V2 for me has been nothing but trouble everyone says I got a jalopy🥺
I've been messing with RCs for 20 years and bought a maxx v2 this year.
It has been one of, if the not the best, high-flying bashers I've ever had. It has survived countless brutal crashes with minimal damage. it has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, especially after I bumped it up to 6s and metal CVDs.
That being said, it has also been one of my more frustrating RCs to deal with, overall. It is definitely a love/hate RC that gets better once you get the kinks ironed out. Mine took about 30 runs to get dialed in to where I'm happy with it.
It's now my #1 choice for full-send, massive airtime jumps. Triple backflips never get old. It is the most durable RC I've ever had, not including electronic and driveline issues. It's worth the headache if you can be patient with it.

I save all wire ties from breads or any food that has them, i leave them in my truck(glovebox) cus i loose body clips all the time….so i know the feeling. Great content brother, love the Vs videos you do, always very interesting 😉👍🏽💯

My wife normally runs Kaiju setup on her Maxx and it's an ABSOLUTE BLAST
Cuz the Maxx is widely considered the most durable rc u can buy RTR and ur showing that the mtx can keep up durability wise

I think both of these are awesome. I’ve mostly had traxxas the last 30 years or so, and mostly nitro until recently. Because of the reliability and second to none parts support. But, I’m always willing to try out other companies that have great durable products. I’ve had associated, Losi, Tamiya, HPI, etc, over the years. And recently have added a few Arrma in the Gorgon and Granite 4x4 3s. And I love them all. This Habao looks friggin awesome too! But come on man, body clips in 2023? I definitely feel your pain Guy 😂😂

Lol aint the end of the world, just take it a lesson and order a screw kit that also includes body clip, as ive been in similar situation except it was a lower shock bolt that came out dont know how thats possible but didn't have any screws with me and ended the fun 😂 , used it as a lesson on what to have just incase.
