Great Cat but still love the 585 and 6 better. To own a Privilege you have to give it away to keep it and then some. "True Humility" would be my Cat's name, and one thing I've learned about sailing is sharing the experience. May the spirit be righteous!

Privileges rank up in my top 3. They aren't just beautiful to look at but they're made for endurance, safety and comfort. Come time to buy, we will definitely be walking through a few of these guys.
I thought the salon looked kind of small but after seeing that owners cabin, I think I would be alright with it
Thanks Wiley. Great video! If I was going to purchase a big CAT, this would be one on the list. What I really, really really love about this is layout is the dual helm and how it covers the entire boat. I find the helms that pop up over the rear deck obtrusive and weird and out of place. I would rather have the helm below and integrated with the rear deck much like the Leopard 43. One thing that perplexed me was the location of the big screen TV in the saloon. There isn't really any place you can sit and view the TV comfortably. (one seat only) And the coffeemaker and other items are in the way. If the TV doesn't swivel, there's only one seat that faces it. If it does swivel, then you'd have to move all the items in front of it and then you have two seats that face it. It doesn't seem very well thought out. WHAT SAY YOU?! Thank you!
Wiley Sharp Catamaran Expert + Thank you for your comment but I still have to challenge you on your answer! Even if it's on swivel, as you say, and all the fancy shit is out of the way, there are still only a couple places (3 at most) you can look at it from a fairly straight on position. Nobody wants to be rubber necking to watch a movie on the tube. Move all the stuff, swivel it to where you think it's good for viewing, and then go sit in each seat (all 3 seats on the Starboard settee and 4 seats at the saloon table.) and tell me what you think. I'm a designer and from what I saw on the video, it's really not a good place for the TV. (unless it's just for looks and to impress people..ha ha!) PEACE OUT!

BTW, your walkthroughs are fine. Only suggestion I could make would be to slow down just a tad, but given the time constraints of posting on UA-cam, i.e. keeping everyone attention, I'd say that you are doing great.
I automatically slow down the videos, so I can SEE everything, at my speed. But, love the video.
@Wiley - viewers can change the playback speed of videos (e.g. .25x, .50x, .5x) but then your audio is also slowed down aka you go from sober, to 4 beers in, to a 12 pack, to a case.... :)

I too, like the Privilege layout... roomy and tons of storage! Never liked a fly-bridge as the higher set boom creates too much windage IMHO. Workmanship (at least on the older ones) is excellent!
Wiley...as far as your videos, they are actual not bad compared to most showing boats on UA-cam. However, and said with love..they could stand some improvement. Ü Remember...you never get a second chance at a first impression. Someone who stumbles onto your channel should be dazzled and be left with the impression that you are one class act! After all, you are selling 1/2 million dollar yachts! All of us here know who and what you are but that's because we've been watching for a while. What I would personalty like to see and the way I shoot something is called pause and stop. So, when panning across a room and talking about a certain area, pause there for 5 seconds and then move on. If you're showing the nav station, which is always one of my fav parts of a vessel, I always pause the video and study it. In fact, I find myself pausing the video quite often so I can see things that I felt went by to fast. As far as equipment goes... a gimbal is always a great investment and also decent camera. Looks like you're holding a point and shoot but I couldn't see what it was. Maybe an A6000 Sony or even better a Sony FDR-AX53 which has a Gimbal inside the lens. Wiley great video, but I must agree with an earlier comment... Need to slow down just a bit...
I have seen so many other cats, in the less than 50' range, where the cabinetry looks like it's spec house contractor grade, mat finished blond wood with square corners. Yuck. Non-nautical. This boat looks yachtish. Good job Privilege!

My recommendation would be engine room and utility room and perhaps you can share more of your own experience sailing these cats

What is the smallest privilege with the center front master? What is the smallest privilege with the standalone dry master shower?
I believe this one here is the smallest with that master. There is a UA-cam channel about a sailing family. Sailing Zatara. They switched from a mono to a Privilege 585. It has that forward cabin, but it is small.

Considering your soft voice, you should avoid Music in the background. It's difficult to hear what you say, which is a shame since your videos are really good. Open more hatches to show the storage.
Does having the forward Owner cabin affect the Bridge clearance?
Wiley, in your personal opinion , is the 615 a Cat that can be managed solo? And on that note, what do you feel is maximum length/beam that could be ran solo?
Like the boat, don't like the fly-bridge at all, too much windage! Fly-bridge is really for weekend sailors, a show-off with no sailing value!
