Great rally. My friend Juan Browne was there. I hope you do the BMWMOA Nat'l in Redmond this weekend. Now. Go if you can. Great place. Really good ride. Much more around there. Hit the peaks and passes. Next time.
Wow, good for you Bruce that’s a lot of riding, you gotta love the fact that just as you dropped your bike, you spotted the elk, thanks for the content. Love your drone footage. Looking forward to the next video. Be safe.
I'm really liking your videos. I enjoy the easy pace that you ride at and in which you narrate the videos. And being a senior rider myself, I purchased my KTM 390 adventure for the same reason you did. It is a whole lot lighter that that R1150GSA I was riding. Good video!
Nice trip. I used to work on roads and when you are on a newly graded road there is a much higher risk of tire damage. The grader cracks and exposes sharp rocks that remain a hazard until the road is hammer back in by traffic. Good idea to slow down on freshly-graded roads to reduce impact energy on sharpies. Great video. Nice to see someone really enjoying their retirement!
I hope they cleaned up the overflow camping area. Last year it was a mess and the rain the first night just made it worse. Fun event though. Looking forward to the video.
Nice ride ! I miss the PNW where you can "see forever". Here in East Texas it's Forests EVERYWHERE with occasional clearings. I think Juan Browne of the Blancolirio channel just did this ride too ?
Another great video. I love the way you find places to explore. I went to the Giant Loop rally also. It’s such an amazing area and so diverse with desert to forest located in the same place.
Hello Bruce, I enjoy your videos. I too am getting older, 64 in July, and usually ride by myself. I do worry about being alone in the middle of nowhere and having a problem. I live just up the road in Grants Pass and have a couple of rides planned. Exploring the eastern slopes of Mt. Shasta, Keno north to Union Creek. Easy dirt roads. Nothing extreme by any measure. Day trips or camping. I would feel better with another rider coming along. Let me know what your thoughts are. I’ll see you out there, Calvin
I’ve ridden the old Oregon BDR#3 that goes from Greensprings or Keno on Oregon 66 to Union Creek campground. Mostly dirt/gravel and not too technical. I have not done Shasta East side but it looks interesting. Always a risk traveling alone - injuries or bike issues.
@@MySeniorMoments Looking at Google earth I see a route south off of RT 66 near Pinehurst on Copco Rd. South to Copco Lake. It snakes around and ends up on hwy 97. Then it's pavement for a bit to get east of Mt. Shasta. Would make for a long day I think, but it's a lot of country that I've never seen.
Bruce, I wish I had brought my Ibex 800T. I could have gone more places while there. I should have tried to have pm'd you my cell number so we could have gotten together. You're at Touratech on the 24th aren't you?

Hi Bruce, another great video... I'm your age and still riding my T7 for the moment. We have some great backroads Down Under too.

Great video Bruce, keep 'em coming.👍🏻 Glad you're having a great trip, no more punctures though, ok😂

Thanks for the riding tip !

A lightweight bike you can pick up - ?
I "think" I can pickup my V-Strom 650.
Should probably install crash bars, then test it in my yard.

Your best video yet!!
Nice video. Can you use your drone to follow you down the road? What drone are you using?
Thank you!
I use a DJI Mini SE. Small and light. It can follow using the Litchi 3rd party app.
Damn progress has really ruined this corner of Oregon. Makes me want to apply for a winnebego tag.
Just look at your video , what bike are you on?
KTM 390 Adventure

Unfortunately, I'm not at touratech this year. Hopefully, next year, I'll go.
