Before this mine, there was only one mine here in the USA and that company sold it to China. And we were holden to their claws but with Mountain Pass here in California and just within the week another massive deposit that's in minable form. Massive ‘rare earth’ deposit found in Williston Basin. Take that China. Europe, more specifically, Sweden, also found a massive deposit as well so I'm pretty happy with this news!!
Racist in USA want China to be capitalist and then when they become better capitalist they blame them for that
US actually has a lot of rare earth and resources, but not mining them due to environmental. Produce rare earth creates a lot of pollution, nothing will grow.
It is cheaper to send rare to china ,process it and ship it back.
Great video, im a Geologist in Las Vegas and this mine has the highest known grade of rare earth element ore in the world. It originally started as a gold mine over 100 years ago, and there are other minable deposits around the main pit
thorium glory,its radioactive,mining end.
And I'm going give you another geology lesson 😂😂😂
Lithium in Salton sea plus this, banning electric cars is genius 🤓 CA is finna be a state richer than I can describe. Calls on California stock.

ARR ASX American Rare Earths has Two of the biggest Rare earth mines potentially in the USA USA has one producing Rare Earths mine but soon to be two more with American rare earths company projects, that USA needs it's going to be bigger than lithium soon 🔜
Strategic resource! National security being that China controls the supply in the rest of the world. It maybe twice as expensive but critical to our security!
Not really. US has a lot of rare earth (16% world ) but no 1 reason is due to environmental issues, US limits export. Mining rare earth creates tons of pollution. Nothing will grow for thousands of years. Not only It is cheaper to mine rare earth and ship it to china for process and ship it back. It's the air and blue sky .
Huge country w plenty of resources, get off our butts and get them. What we cannot get we have plenty of allies like Australia, India.
India isn't much of an ally, to tell the truth-- they prefer to play one side against another.
What company is mining it?
MP Materials.
@@daniellamon-qmdz4fod992 Thanks! Im buying it. And SHORTING BABA!
@@_kronos_4936 that won’t do much

Nice pump, wonder how much MP paid them.
Native advertising runs the planet now almost, all fake shills everywhere getting a kickback to push to their 2 millions bot followers and few thousands of humans
the US DOD gave them almost $10m as part of an initiative to promote US rare earth production
Mountain Pass (MP) could become the "China" for rare earths' processing for Canada. We need a rare earths' industrial complex from raw ore to finished rare earths in the United States.
$MP to the moon!
