Awesome. I love it. What really made it though was the Vise Grip 'Clamp' A true MacGyver. Thanks a lot for sharing, shows a little of what goes in to the props people just bolt on without a second thought. I fly Rubber Power models, so I carve my own, a might bit smaller but essentially the same. Cheers.
How ya' going? The props that I make are poplar, soft maple, black walnut and black cherry. This combination makes a very stylish, medium weight prop that is also very durable. Cheers!
@flyb3 You would have a better time finding someone in Australia doing it for you. The shipping from here to there is outrageous. The cost of sending a box over 46" is over $200 USD. I've had numerous requests for props there, but the price tag is unreasonable.
Hi, I was wondering, I've been looking online and it's seems like I've looked myself into a corner and I just can't seem to find any helpful information anywhere on figuring out the proper dimensions of a wooden propeller. I'm interested in making one, if possible, by solely using hand tools and giving it to my grandfather as a gift, but I can't find any information that would be helpful in getting it started. Anything to point me in the right direction is immensely appreciated :) Thank you.
Are you able to sell me prop "blanks", or, if I ship you a 3D file, are you able to mill a prop for me? I've designed a paramotor-prop-creation system using particle-swarm-optimisation (virtual-wind-tunnel), and I now need to print (mill) my designs. The math suggests they'll deliver more than 20% thrust improvements, and big noise reductions, but I need to make and test some now... ( cnd*geek net au )

@Graiskye
Vice grip was cool, also the extension of the cnc table with a wooden block.
That roughing duplicator lathe is crazy. :)
