Yes, she can't really speak that well, she's Italian and has an accent. Yes she's had drug abuse and plastic surgery problems. And yes, the way she speaks is caused partly, because of her plastic surgeries. Now that that's out of the way, please, take the time to read a little more about her and watch a documentary or two and after you see what this woman has went through, show some respect. You don't have to be a fan of either her or the brand to appreciate the strength this woman has, to be able to still, after all the hardships she's went through, be able to stand up and move on with her life and be a part of something as big and as complicated as the fashion industry.

i have to give donatella major credit for what she has done with the brand. After Gianni was murdered the brand went down the drain and then she brought it back and (partially) made it what it is today.
Oh my gosh- there are some hateful comments on here. Donatella is famous for a reason- she is extremely gifted and a generally sweet person AS YOU CAN SEE in this video. Spread love, not hate people.

The problem in here is that there is really closed mind people in the world. She's a very succesful ITALIAN designer, as so, her native language is ITALIAN, not english. But let me give you a piece of advice: pay attention to what she's saying rather than her accent, you'll see what a nice and inteligent woman Donatella is. And stop complaining, my first language is spanish and i understood everything she said.

Awesome I always stayed away from this brand because I always saw the outside image of Versace but getting to watch this and her documentry she is a very open and opinionative woman she is strong blunt and bold , very inspiring for some reason. I hate when people make negative comments about someone's accent. English is not her first language, but she can communicate and is understandable. The people who criticize are the very people who only speak one language. I would like to see them speak Italian, or any other language. It is normal and expected for a person to speak a second language with an accent, unless they were immersed in the second language as young children, otherwise they will almost always have an accent. I personally love her accent.
