Im so glad I live in LA and I get to see him and many others any time I want. See you at Alvas in a couple weeks!
I’ve listened to this dozens of times - it’s one of my all time favourite live performances. Amazing, beautiful musical treat.
When it comes to live raw unbridled rock and roll, The Who Live at Leeds comes to mind. Feel it all, Kedgeree is the peak of Mt Everest.
I was gonna say the drummer sounds/plays like a version of Moon that never had the severe addiction and mental issues. Amazing drummer.
words fail when trying to verbalize mk's/band's awesomeness.
Holy mother of all amazing things musical and otherwise!! That was awesome!!!
Wow! It's comforting to know there are still guys out there who can really play.
There’s never been more musical talent.
This song is so great that it’s really hard to describe. It touches my soul, I nod my head and jam to it, other parts are so beautiful that I get tears in my eyes. It’s really amazing. Thank you Mike Keneally
Bravo to whoever shouted out "Nice Warm-Up!" @ 7:55
My favorite Keneally song, and what an awesome interpretation ! Great musicians.
Beautiful mix! Oh, and the band? As always, just the best. Thank you, gentlemen, and please keep doing what you do, because there's nothing out there even remotely like this stuff. We NEED this!!!
The drums in this song are so fucking exciting.
...this is why I listen to MK ..brilliant! ..Mike Keneally Band!! Wow! excellent live music!
...nice
Thanks for saying it...I saw them in SF, with this exact lineup (and yes they played and killed this track live...) and was completely blown away... I was practically writhing on the floor all night...Joe Satriani's whole band was present at gig...Met Mike after wards (sweetest, genuine man...) hung with Joe Satch...Fun night to extreme....One of THE best live shows I've ever seen on par with The Dixie Dregs shows in early '80's...
This is what music is about. Simply out of this world!!
Quite possibly the best music DVD I've ever seen and heard :)
Man, what creativity. I love it! Awesome.
Thank you for the music!
Awesome song! LOVE IT!!!!!! long live Keneally!!!
Mike can be sweet and intense and his ideas are always fresh and original. What a band!
Great song, AMAZING performance!!! Thanks, Mike, Bryan and crew!!!
I'm new to the Mike K. Camp this was quite impressive! I hope the future listens are as impressive as this was guitar wise especially!
WOW ! Amazing. MIKE IS A MONSTER.
Beautiful song and the solo was insane. I'm like . . . . wow. Hahahaha.
Thanks.

Mike keneally is the 2nd gen of zappa, and love his stuff. What an inspiration... :)

Mike is a great guitarist with a great 'backing band'
I came for the guitar, I stayed especially for the drums. Great drummer.
giuliano sfichi it's Toss Panos
The drummer is Joe Travers - Vaultmeister for the Zappa Family Trust.
@@tommyquirk2084really. Ya sure, no glasses?
@@John_13_35 - 100% sure.
Utterly gorgeous.
Oh man, that's overwhelmingly great. Real prog, like the true the masters Gentle Giant, Henry Cow, Robert Fripp. Can't say enough!!!!!
Devin in Stockholm was awsome. Thanks.
Just so clever skilful and tuneful, fabulous!
Now we all know what the best musicians in the world sound like.
I finally found you! Zappa Man! I love you so much that I can't express in words!
Amazing!!!!
3:42 onwards... Such utter beauty!
+Spuzzwick So true!!! Plus---- 0:00-3:42.... SUCH UTTER BEAUTY!
Wow keyboards and guitar while doing vocals! Who does that? Im so glad you pointed this guy out.
WoW, It must have been great to live in San Diego at that time!
Great mix!
I always wonder how they did get so good sound when recording this....
they're all gems in the jewellry-shop called music-business ;-)
goosepimples guaranteed!
as always I ordered the CD/DVD right away ...
This man is a flipping genius!!
You know you are GOOD when Satch invites you to tour with him...
Saw Mr. K with Ed Palermo and his Zappa Big Band in NYC a couple of years ago. Napoleon Murphy Brock was also on the show. Was a wonderful night - my wife's birthday! Andy, Inca Roads, all great. Ended with NMB wearing a chef's hat and distributing muffins during Muffin Man.
really indeed EPIC PIECE are you using the sloatman device in that green strat cause it sure sounds like Frank and I sure like it ... like is in the air oh like is in the air.........
When ya coming to TX again ?
brilliant. sound quality is superb, you can hear all parts! fantastic! B R I L L I A N T
Spirit of the Rock--X10!! sounds great.
some of the best stuff on youtube - at least for me ... :-)
.... got the DVD and watched it a lot
The best band!!
I really like this man's approach to music, he also left the secret society. (evidence the song "beautiful.")
Dougie would love this :)
The whole band. Does MK ever fail to astound? A resounding "NO".
OO WEE KILLER BAND MIKE !
Partridge and Keneally co-wrote an album together last year called Wing Beat Fantastic. It's beautiful.
Mike is great. You've got to see him live. Saw him live in Atlanta a few months ago (Sept). Somebody had to say it, but they don't know what they're talking about.
EXCELLENT...WONDERFUL
Good stuff! 😀
Awesome!
"There is not enough darkness in all the world to put out the light of even one small candle."
Mike is one big candle ;)
I hear ya, though.
phenomenal
So beautiful,
at 4:20 the zappa fanboi breaks out. so sick
I saw Keneally with Zappa in '88. He was brilliant will under the direction of this great composer/song writer. Here we have a group of very technically proficient musicians, virtuosos,no doubt about it. As song writers and composers, they're fair at best.
Mike,you're❤
This music burns !
That just fucking rocks! Will order all related materials tomorrow. Is there any chance we can get Rick playing a green guitar also?
Pardon my ignorance but I hear a major Andy Partridge influence in the verses of this lovely song. Since I'm just discovering this video, I simply don't know any of the background, so please feel free to enlighten me. Obvious FZ influences in the solo section, which blazes. Is that Joe Travers on drums? What a smoking red hot performance!
WOW!❤
fantastic!
"Such utter beauty!" < totally agree. One of my 3 favorite live performances, the other 2 being Dweezil playing Inca Roads and Stevie Ray playing Voodoo Chile.
Very beautiful ending...reminds me of old ELO! :)
so awesome
j'adore !!
Awesome
Love the texture
Magic Mike, that's including Frank & Steve, typically!
Mike is a true great. Ask Steve Vai, hell tell ya!
TIGHT !!
Just to say low level KIKKSso amazing in somany ways sorru cant find the words KIKKS ?
Nice.
best ever
Fucking superb.
WTF ?? Why only have one tuning key
Not Colaiuta...Marco Minneman is Satriani's drummer for this tour
It doesn't even sound like Vinnie, lol.
Who's that drummer? DAMN!
THE Joe Travers...I saw this line up in SF club, Oct 2011, and Joe's drumming was stunning...Made sure he knew it, too...Waited until he was breaking down his kit to let him know, oersonally, just HOW much his drumming blew me away...Sweet man was graciously appreciative...WHAT a show! As this track here betrays, the three gtr wall of sound being blasted along by the aforementioned MISTER Travers and bassist extraordinaire Bryan Bellar was, outside of only VERY few, one the best live gigs I've seen...
It's Toss Panos
Nope, Joe Travers
@@irena7777777 It's definitely Joe Travers. Dude's a beast. I looked him up since I posted this years ago.
@@budo1968 Is he a fusion drummer like Vinnie Coliautas?
He & Colaiuta are out touring with Joe Satriani
Didn't his tenure with Frank have a dramatic end? Gail won't talk to him. Not sure what went on there.
Over the top
i shit my pants at the end!
madman😎
sdo fkn fine
This s-t is the mad notes.
New sub, Winged Pegasus brought me here...AND UMMM>>>WOW! (edit)..err Wings of Pegasus..
I think Jan Akkerman likes too!!! Great band!
@surroundlounge I'd try posting in the blink 182/simpleplan-type band videos. I have no clue as to what band it might be, but try the punk/rock/pop audience... good luck!
brano fantastico e al minuto 3.42 avviene il miracolo
Zlatan on bass, he he he.
Nice bass ZLATAN
man! dudes... farkkk.... ...come to adelaide... dudes...so good.
Music like this is being pushed underground because of shows like X - factor and Somebody has talent. Really? these people have talent that 17 year old kids have no clue what talent is nor the PUBLIC. The fact that music programs have been cut from public shcools and art as well, are the decline of mainstream work that would normally get air time. The music of today does not have the soul of where this type of music comes from and that saddens me.
