Thanks for taking us along with you, still a great looking car after your restoration, and as you show, you aren't afraid to use it 👍

Keith, it's what they were made for. Such lovely, high quality cars they really are very under rated.

Great video Tim - sponsored by the Devon Tourist Board - ha ha. If I'd known you were down here, you could have looked at my leaky windscreen, I'm in Plymouth. Keep up the good work

Bob, we did The Isle of Wight the year before and are planning on going to Shropshire later this year. It is what these beautiful cars were made for.

Great stuff Tim, you’ve inspired me into making a similar video when I drive to visit the Sunbeam Club get together here in France in June.

Good info. How much would an average condition Alpine mk5 cost in the UK now? I'm interesting in buying one.

How long is a piece of string? You see running cars advertised from about £8,500 and immaculate cars at over £20,000. It depends what you want. Somewhere around £12,000-£15,000 will get you a nice useable car. It is a good idea to join the owners club and learn about the different models before buying. Check out the Essential Buyer’s Guide Video.

@@TheSunbeamAlpineChannel thank you. I'm currently interested in one that been laid up for a while. The seller says it needs the carb adjusting and brakes are locked on. Do you know if any reliable mechanics familiar with Alpines in the west Essex/ Herts area?

@@paulbrowne6087 The best advice I can give you is to check the car over thoroughly with someone who knows Alpines and knows the spots to check. Companies like the AA and RAC will also do vehicle inspections for a fee.

@@TheSunbeamAlpineChannel is that a service the club offers to is members?

@@paulbrowne6087 I don’t think there is a formal ‘service’ but if you join there are local branches all over the country with very knowledgeable owners there. Most have monthly get together and events. Depending on where you are and where your car is you will probably be able to find someone local to it who will check it over with you. A Series V Alpine is a very nice, useable classic, you won’t be disappointed with your choice.
