Small suggestion to anyone whose panels start falling off the walls again when the seasons change: T Pins and a black sharpie. Put a pin in each corner or one trough the center. They only make needle sized holes in the wall and will keep the panels secured. Then take the sharpie and color the tips of the pins so they don't reflect as easily, and you won't even notice them. I came here to see if the more affordable panels work, and it seems like they have. Looks like your mixing environment is in the same room your mattress is, so you've already got a huge bass trap on the floor.
Thanks a lot, my panels keep falling and I just put another sticky thing on it but it's temporary. I'll try the pin thing. Too bad the foam just ended up as decoration. I really thought it would change it a lot.
Does the foam prevent sound coming in as well as sound going out? My roommate is driving me nuts and I am thinking of doing this to my wall to stop hearing him
no, i know i am late. But this is what people call “treatment” it doesnt “deflect” any other sound. what if does is reflect asound within a certain area that makes it less harsh. i know thats a bad explanation. but this concept is all about reverb not sound cancellation. I thought the same thing at first.. so pls message me if you dont get it bc i will try to help.
@@smiffwrld1323 I know I’m a year late but do you know how I can actually soundproof my room a little so that I’m not disturbing roommates while my guitar etc.
Comment if you think anything changed!

Sewing pins they come in a pack of 500 for $4 on Amazon. Just choose one pin per panel and hammer it in.
@@broderickles936 Use double-sided Nano tape!
The low end also improved, I can tell the difference even when I'm listening to my phone.
Amazon’s panel choices are drowned with dropshipping panels from aliexpress.
aint nothing wrong with dropshipping lmao, every store in the US does it
the foam brought the high end out more from what i can hear

No, it just makes sound reflect less, not prevent it

First solo, Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, second riff is Cemetery Gates by Pantera. The last 2, Idk.

You made me wanna buy some; from ebay. Double sided ducktape seemed necessary but you proved me wrong. Good job. 👍📊🤟😃
Does it absorb bass from a subwoofer to ?
definitely not. even high end high density foams wouldnt do much on low end
