The mud just gives it character. 😎🏍 Great ride video! My dad had a 1972 Yamaha trail bike that he would take us for rides on. Fun times. It was green and white, classic 70s colors. And my cousin had a Kawasaki in the 90s. THAT was a fast bike!! I think it was a racing bike, but he would never admit it. Thanks for sharing, Chad! 😎

Thanks for the comment! I always liked those old paint styles of the 70s and 80s. I know some people who collect the old steel gas tanks with the cool paint schemes and has them on display.

Nice trail ride! I miss our dirt bikes, I had a yzf 400 and a yzf 250 for my son. The neighbors and deer are glad I sold them. Did you see the fawn? Have you taken the stihl to the dealer yet?

That is awesome! I didn't actually see the fawn - but I was pretty sure that's what it was.
The Stihl MS261 is currently at the dealership.

I think you're right...sounded like a fawn to me. Nice way to spend my rainy Memorial Day morning, especially since I sold my bike back in 2019!

I was surprised I never actually saw the fawn. But they are good at hiding in the tall grass. My XT250 doesn't get many miles put on it - just a few trail rides each year through the woods. But I do enjoy those miles. :)

That looks like a great bike for a wooded property. Yes, get those other tires for the mud.
I little advice: you are slowing down too much, that is why you are getting stuck. Don’t go crazy fast, but when you approach deep mud or deep soft sand, stand on the pegs, keep your knees bent a little, and power through it. If you think the tire may sink and toss you over the handlebars, extend your arms so that your shoulders, back and hips are further to the back. The front and back tires may get squirrely (swaying left and right), but have faith in your instincts and also, the further the back tire is to the side, the more it wants to (when you are gassing it) put you back straight.

Kyle - you've correctly identified the mystery sound. :)

That noise near the start sounded like a fox barking. Those are some nice trails!

My xt250 is a great trail bike. You just need some Kenda Trackmasters, Ricochet bash plate and some handguards and your set for fun.

I've had several bikes over the years. This one is my favorite all-around bike. I also had a WR250R for a few years. It was amazing - but not as good for comfortable trail rides through our land as this bike is.

@@PurpleCollarLife I went the more aggressive route
I sold for yz125 but had already bought a beta 350. I sold the yz for kx250f much safer at the motocross track.
