I don’t have ER Soundwave. I don’t have SS86 Frenzy or Rumble, and I don’t have the ER version of Laserbeak/Buzzsaw. This figure will be my definitive Soundwave.

Simple math makes this price right. You have Voyager figure: 35$, core class figure: 10$ and 2 micromasters that are equivelant to 1 core class so again 10$. You add it up and you get 55$. So if you think individual releases of Core class Rumble and Frenzy were worth their price then this set also should be worth the price.
I'm waiting for 86 Soundwave but it's nice they're giving ppl a chance to get that mold again

If I didn't have Soundwave, Rumble and/or Ravage perhaps. . . We all just want Buzzsaw, not have more duplicates of what we already got. I can't image anyone wanting Soundwave or Rumble when you get the new one.

I'm getting it for two reasons - Buzzsaw and yellowing protection. I don't see what the complaint is. If you don't want it because you have Soundwave, then don't buy it. The Royal You, not you specifically.
What I think people are crying about mainly IS Buzzsaw. People just want Buzzsaw and don't like that they dropped him in this pack. The other thing is, it's a figure many people STILL don't have, so they have it.
Size does not and has not equated directly to class.
I wish the cassette frenzy/rumble was the red repaint of the obscure character of Enemy

For me this is worth the asking price (i totally realize this is literally just not being able to track down the original Netflix soundwave.) This is. Because soundwave though a voyager yes, he was around 40 or so bucks cause he was an exclusive. Along with the fact that rumble is 12-13 bucks by himself. So i definitely can see the price tag of a leader. (Plus who cab say no to buzzsaw)

Definitely worth it! Each of those cassette cons are worth $15 ea , it's seems like a good deal
well, Rumble is currently worth like 12 USD at retail price, but Ravage and Laserbeak were released in 2019, costing 10 USD together in a 2 pack.
technically, the price checks out. Netflix soundwave costed 40 USD so adding a $12 Rumble would make it 52 USD, not far off from the Leader price of 55 USD.
so if you wanna get it, go ahead. though i'll be waiting for studio series 86 Soundwave, whenever that'll happen. my main problem is with the Soundwave mold itself. its just off
Considering that the cassette bots became hard to find, it's worth it for those figures.
I think what people might be discounting is that there’s more people than we might think that don’t have any of these characters.
I think my problem with this release is that I had just gotten the Decepticon Bridge set to get the Soundwave and ER Laserbeak molds and toon color accurate Shockwave. Then they put this up on preorder and really the only reason I need it is for Buzzsaw, lol
So I'm debating selling the Decepticon bridge set and just get this. It's sort of like the upcoming Autobot bridge set coming out. The colors on Optimus is peak, but I don't need a Jazz since I just got the Autobot 5-pack with the better paint job and no clear plastic parts. Mainframe/ Teletraan 1 is really cool, but I would like to get the Ark at the same time. Plus SS86 Optimus is releasing relatively soon, so just another reason not to buy that set.

This was an instant preorder for me. I love Soundwave and want the Cassette Player Altmode. Rather pay a little more for this version than pay the scalpers prices for the older now probably unfortunately yellowed Netflix version.
They made the figure that everybody wanted the wrong color
I genuinely don’t care about the pricing because when was the last time we got a soundwave that turned into an actual cassette tape that you can get in stores (asides from core class guy)
Better than charging 70 or 80 like they probably considered lmao. This version of soundwave and one of the 86 cassettes becoming more available is a bonus no matter how you look at it. I mean unless you're one of those"value speculators" that have been squatting on every copy of 86 rumble and netflix soundwave on the secondary market the last few years.

I should amend this to say, if you have no other Soundwave then yes, it's there to get and you probably should if need it. BUT As someone who has the Netflix wave, Both SS Frenzy and Rumble, and the tapes that came with Netflix SW.. My answer is no.

I have him preordered. Mostly because I like the rumble colours and buzzsaw. but honestly.. I would have a appreciated if they just did a sml tweak. They should have adjusted the forearms so they don't have the hinged weapons.

I don't have a soundwave, I want an 86 SW, but I'm told to get this netflix 2.0 version with 3 cassettes. A lot of Legacy is like 90% movie/cartoon accurate anyway, like I have the insecticons, Galvatron, lots of legacy that are really close to G1 accurate, so... I'm torn between, am I going to wait a year, I want to wait for an appropriate 86 Optimus. I'll probably get 86 SW when he gets released, but by then I'm probably going to be done with the movie line and Soundwave. I'm not going to go out and get blue windows when I have 50% in transparent windows. I want Bumble in blue windows, but I might paint app that. SS86 NEEDS ravage and Ratbat though, he needs those.

I've been pretty stingy on Leaders compared to Voyagers, but yeah the size difference is really noticeable since Siege. Double Dealer is a good example as he's maybe a head taller than Sandstorm, but the budget really suffers in how terrible is lower half is designed/engineered. Other than him I think though significantly smaller, the Leaders have all been great and the budget really shows not so much in the engineering but how filled out, solid, and detailed the figure looks and feels compared to most Voyager class figures. Of course in situations like Soundwave, and I guess the upcoming 86 Springer it's debatable as it's mostly the same figure with a value pack of accessories. Final note. Hasbro should just scrap Leader, and call them Ultras, and the Commanders Leaders because that would be much more accurate for what you're paying for.

The ER sound wave sucks and it is just a crappie version of the siege, with horrible transformation, alt mode, and robot mode. Maybe the price would be fine if they gave five casets be just three is not worth 55 bucks.
Honestly the only interesting thing about this set us buzzsaw, which of course hasbro would give us in a multipack when they finally make it
I'm not a big fan with how he scales with Blaster. They should be more similar in size, maybe soundwave is a bit smaller but still similar

I think it’s technically worth the price. Soundwave is a voyager, rumble is core class, plus 2 cassettes that count as core class. Still ridiculous, they have the mold for ratbat and they seriously couldn’t include it? Thundertron comes with a white ratbat.
I think that with all of the most recent cassette molds that Hasbro should have released Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, and Ratbat all included with this set to make up for the Voyager figure being released as a Leader Class figure. Still I think that Soundwave and his cassettes have all been pretty hard to find for the most part.
@@willisjackson7029 getting frenzy would be nice but I don’t think it’s realistic. During siege 2 micro masters=1 core class. So it’s basically 2 core class bundles with an extra micro master if hasbro wanted to be nice.
@@alc4528 Generosity hasn’t been their strong suit in the past decade. I remember when they used to sell the individual figures for a combiner and then sell them as a gift set where you would save money on the gift set because you would be getting one or two of them for free.
Not really, especially if you have either robot paradise soundwave (expensive sure but great), the ko of rp (bit cheaper and probably still as good, the mp (hard to get but good) or the ko of mp (cheap and still good)
Technically speaking, it is worth the price, but it’s not a leader class. It’s a bastardization of leader class if I’m being honest. I’m still gonna get it cause I don’t have a soundwave or any cassettes in my collection but I can absolutely admit this is not a leader class but if we speak technically it is worth the same price as a leader class
I ain't taking this vector prime slander. He ain't a bad figure and he looks good! Him not having a minicon is annoying but that doesn't make him a bad figure. The mold also needs more love so why not give it to a fan favorite? Sure he could've been bumped up to a leader mold but he isn't bad.
Yeah, the classes ain't about size anymore. Does it suck? Absolutely. But that's just the way it is now...especially with all them tiny Deluxes that are the size of Legends class peeps. If the dramatic shrinkdown in Commander class from Siege Jetfire to Earthrise Skylynx to Kingdom Rodimus Prime/Legacy Motormaster/Legacy Evolution Armada Optimus Prime doesn't make it more obvious, something ain't right. (Of course, Commander class got some getback with SS86-21 Ultra Magnus and Legacy United Magmatron)
As for Soundwave...ehhh. I'd get him *IF I FIND HIM IN STORES!!* That's why I missed the Netflix WFC-T Earthrise Soundwave, Ballsmarts - I mean Walmarts - around me somehow simply never carried him. Not sure howdafuq that worked when you consider that Soundwave was in the same wave of Voyagers as the Netflix WFC-T Earthrise Optimus Prime (and I doubt that the Voyagers were cases of that figure alone). But what sucks for folks who didn't get all the Tape Minions is that now they may not have Laserbeak (the Siege Ravage+Laserbeak pack was apparently way harder to find than the Rumble+Ratbat pack...and Rumble+Ratbat _was legit hard to find!_) and they may not have SS86 Frenzy (who I never saw in stores at all; doesn't help that Target & Ballsmart have abysmal restock ordering practices).
