I just wanted to say, as an adopted kid, whatever way your baby comes to you they’re yours. Dna or blood doesn’t matter as soon as that baby is in your arms they’re yours. I wish you nothing but the best in your journey to parenthood

Condolences on your two losses Katelyn, sending you baby dust as you keep trying, I’m sure you will have heard many reassuring stories throughout your research and recovery, while you searched for the strength to keep going but third time was lucky for me and hopefully for you too, I have a healthy 4 year old now and I wish for you to be able to say the same 5 years down the line from now! Keep your hopes high, you are surrounded by women who have had multiple losses that didn’t indicate inability to carry to term, I hope that’s true for you too. After crying for a hour today over my own infertility, I saw this video, wow guys I’m so proud of you, I don’t know why it makes me so much happier today to know that two amazing people are having a little bundle of joy together. Hopefully we can all be just as happy one day

When doing it with a donor egg they gather several at the same time. Then they can use both of your specimens to fertilizer the eggs, they also can implant as many as you want, within reason. So they can do both and you get what you get no one would have to know. After all it will be yours no matter the donors. Its not the donors or the sperm that make a good parents, its the love and attention. You Two will be the greatest parents. If there was a place were the unborn could pick their parents you two would have already shaped up. I'm so happy for you and your venture into Parenthood.
But they said they wanted one from each. That would give more chance for one to be a part of both and one to not be a part of either

I have another question too - would the baby feel abandoned by their biological mother, since she sold them? Would they miss out on the connection to their mother and getting to experience that? Trying to think how I would feel if I was in that baby/child’s place.
@@hadassah6085 without shane or ryland the baby wouldn’t even exist. shane and ryland will be the parents. the baby won’t even know. the baby doesn’t NEED the mom to be happy or loved. they will have loving dads and that’s really all that matters.
Yahir Sepulveda they would learn biology one day and wonder where their mother is - so I’m not sure we can be that naive in saying “the baby won’t ever know” - there’s nothing wrong with having these conversations as it’s very complicated for the child and families involved ❤️

Being adopted I obviously love when people are open to adoption and other routes to having a baby. I can’t express enough how amazing it is. I know I’m not biologically related to my parents but I’m just like them (the good and the bad lol). You’re going to love that baby so much before you even meet them or hold them the first time ❤️

I love seeing how much thought and effort you guys are putting into having a baby 💙 I’m currently 20 weeks after trying for 3 years and losing 4 babies. We tried medication, signed up for ivf and talked about fostering and adopting, so it’s been a rough road. I’m wishing you guys so much love and hope on the future baby/family 💜

as i was growing up my family would casually mention that i was adopted and what it meant. that’s also a good way to explain to your kid how they came to be and the process you guys went through🖤
i’m 16 years old and i’ve been watching shane for as long as i remember. my sister watched him since he started and she’s now 27 , so i’ve grown up with him. seeing him and ryland grow and hearing this news made me so emotional. you all are going to be amazing parents. thank you for everything!

You could both give samples to the lab and ask them to pick whichever has the best swimmers, but ask for that to remain private. That way it could feel like both of you :)
that's a good method. you can also base it on genetic health. If either of you have genetic conditions you're worried about get tested to figure out the likelihood of passing to a child. then decide from there who you want to be donor
I don’t think its legal to not tell, the child needs to know who is his real dad for genetic purposes
