Pretty clear interview discussion. This video helps a lot to understand easily with download as example which is an very important example. Made me to understand the System design round, quite clear. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for taking this topic. iOS SDR videos are very rare, we can find many videos claiming to create Instagram clones, FB clones, etc, but most of its content is related to creating UI only. I am expecting many more SDR videos from you brother. Good luck.
Good one guys. Thanks for this. I have similar thought. But its good I found it here. Really appreciate your efforts. There are numours of usecases/topics can be covered as part of system design round. Example: Designing PaymentIntegration, Spottify, Netflix, Splitwise, Parking lot and many more.. Hope I will see them here near future.
This video is very help full for the developers for attending interviews . Trust me , these types of videos are not much especially for ios Platform .Thanks Pallav
Thanks for adding a real-time scenario of cross-questioning, Despite having system design exp one can still get some knowledge from it like I learned AVAsset-aggregate download task(Thanks to you) and SOLID principle (Thanks to Tanya). Liked.
This is very helpful especially for anyone going for their first iOS System Design interview (mine will be scheduled pretty soon). Many thanks for making this fabulous video. Kudos 👍
you are creating such a g8 video, so for more understanding can you please create the video like design the Netflix or any other app . i mean just for more information.
Sure Vaibhav, I’ll look for covering these kind of questions for System Design Rounds. Instagram design is one of the common questions. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
The Single Responsibility principle is still violated in Storage Service. I guess you should have InpuOutputHelper class as well, to write into disk. Also Dependency Inversion is also violated. Download Service class should work with interfaces rather than with concrete implementations.
Not really. For mobile developers, there’s literally nothing for System Design preparation.. that’s why I thought of this use case (download). Glad that you liked it 🙂
Please explain which data base we should choose? as you asking in this interview for no sql and sql data base. if possible then please create one video for that.
Do they ask System Design Interviews for SDE-1 Profiles too ? I am a developer(fresher tbh 1 YOE) who wants to transition in iOS industry do i need to learn these things too ?
Would you have one single listener for all downloading events or for every download item you can register individual listener? If the first is correct why not using a stream of events?
Finally some quality content on iOS interviews, thank you so much.
Thanks Rajat, glad that you liked the video 🙂
