Through death, a Hero becomes Legend. Through time, A Legend becomes a myth. Through hearing a myth, a man takes Action." Now, while listening to DEATH OF A HERO Vol. 4, I tend to realize the task predetermined for all of us regardless of colour, religion or citizenship. The debris that land in the background is the same size as the foreground, still pretty cool animation though.

"KATE!!!"
The call pierced the silent, still air, a fire alarm, interrupting a peaceful sleep after a long day.
I turned to stare in the direction Virginia was pointing, to find Kate lying on the ground, drowning in a pool of blood, barely moving.
Virginia sprinted over to Kate's side, stopping before touching her body. I felt her pain. And I understood why that moment of hesitation before reaching out to cradle Kate's head in her hands was so frightening. As the eight of us jogged over to join Virginia, kneeling next to her twin's body, tears pouring out of her eyes, I met Luna's gaze, and I remembered the conversation we had with a sickening lurch, such a long time ago.
I reached Kate, grabbing her hand gently, feeling her faint, agonizingly slow pulse, and clutched my necklace. Although my mind was a mess of thoughts and emotions, one was extremely clear to me. The words of the celestial, who visited Luna and me so long ago.
"Ten of you will set off on your quest. Only nine will return."
Luna wrapped her arms around my broken, shivering body.
"I thought she was trying to scare us. I didn't believe her. I should have. We should have never left."
I ignored Luna's words and focused on the ragged sound of Kate's breath.
"We're here, Kate," Bryce sobbed despairingly, "we're here."
"You were amazing," Kyle added. "A true warrior."
"You are the reason we won," Lyra smiled weakly down at her best friend.
"W-we won?" Kate asked, inhaling shakily.
"Shhh, shhh," Virginia whispered, attempting to find her voice. "Don't waste your breath. We need to get you to a hospital. Now."
Luna shook her head, and Virginia whipped her body to face us.
"What. Do. You. Mean?" Her voice turned frigid, and just for a moment, I saw someone behind the cheerful party animal that I knew and loved. Someone dangerous.
"I can't be saved, Virginia." Kate croaked. "She stabbed me with a poisoned knife. In a few minutes, I'll be gone. I love you, V-V. You're my sister, my best friend, and a remarkable person. I'll see you someday. I'll see all of you someday."
I squeezed her hand gently, tears streaming out of my eyes. In my blurred vision, I saw everyone kneel down to be with Kate in her final moments. Her last breath came and went as I shifted my position to lay with her.
I closed my eyes, sleep consuming me like a dim shadow, engulfing everything in its path.

One thing I will say...
Our heroes. They don't wear capes. They don't have fancy costumes. Or even High Tech STUFF!
But normally those Heroes come out. Running towards the line of Danger. Facing all of the odds against them! They will give it their all! Just to save those in need. Even if it comes down to sacrificing themselves in order to beat those odds. Just to save those in need.
Knowing.... Knowing!! That gave it their all. They gave it their all... To save one or to save many.
All I can say is... I honor them. I honor all who did what they believe is right. Because, they did what had to be done. To save those in need.
These walls were once filled with laughs, now they are covered in vines and grass
These halls once were filled with life and light, now there is only death and night
It used to be full as a king’s feast, but now only silence seeps
Gold and silver get covered with dust, and the steel starts to rust
Here stars shone a million bright, now only few are light
Death roams these empty halls, weeps as he hears no happy calls
He cries in silence as the moon shines bright, revealing that which is devoid of light
He witnessed all the life in these halls, cried as he watched it fall
He walks for eternity, cursing his immortality
Wishing to pass on and die, yet never doing it as he wants no one to live this life
In private he must cry, in public he is ice cold to keep the lie
The ones he loved and knew have either forgotten him or died, the price to keep the world alive
Yet in the darkest hour of existence his hope and kindness shall never die, as he is the most empathetic person alive
