- The Nugget Hunters have once again assembled this time on The Yuba River in the California Mother lode .
The search for those Elusive Placer Gold Nuggets bring Gary @TwoToes and Hugo @MRGOLD99.999 , and yes the one and only Mining Hawiian together to try and solve the age old problem " Where's the Gold ". With all the rain here in California the River is running much higher than normal making our hunt that much harder. We have the Minelab SDC 2300's and JC is running a Minelab Gold Monster. How much Gold will we find and more important who will get the title Lead King !!!!!! All and all a great day out Metal Detecting with good friends enjoying mother Yuba and some great weather

😂 My buddy located a target on a huge Montana mountain side, close to an old mine. He was busy digging it out, much of the material rolling away. Just like Gary, the target disappeared! 😂 Every time we were back up there, my buddy had to spend half an hour looking for the mysterious disappearing “nugget?” He eventually discovered a 3/8” x 3/4” bolt which had rolled up against a bush. We had to assume that as the disappearing target.
Sounds like my luck !!!!!! Keep after it and best of luck to the both of you !!!!
Solid session. Made it to mother Yuba last week. With the flows dropping the bedrock is calling.

You all in public areas or on your own claim? Been wanting to hit Yuba. So far we have been to Merced, and the Kern. Found nuggies in Merced river and some species in quartz. Fines in the Kern. Any info about the yuba would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
we do it all but this was on a private Claim. Its best to join a club to get access around there if you don't know someone with one
