STUNNING MOUNT RAINIER VIEWS | Delta 737-800 Takeoff from Seattle

- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- A gorgeous fall takeoff from Seattle on board this Delta Boeing 737-800, with some great CFM56 engine sound from the spool up on runway 34C to the thrust reduction. Plus, an incredible view of Mount Rainier on the climb out towards Salt Lake City on Delta Air Lines Flight 1297! This was previously part of a trip report I did on this flight, but the views and the engine sounds were too good to not give them their own upload. Views of Mount Rainier start at 7:35. Enjoy!

Wow! Thank-you so much for sharing. You most certainly captured some “National Geographic” moments with this video, and I cannot think of very much else that will have such a lingering effect in my mind forever. The only truly stunning view I ever experienced was on a flight from LAX to SEA, as we passed over Mt. St. Helens. It looked as if God had taken a giant ice cream scoop against the top and side of a mountain.
Forgive my rather lengthy comment, but for years I was stationed at Ft. Lewis in the mid 1970’s, which is just south of Tacoma, and this video brought back so many memories. I had forgotten that it took only about 45 minutes of driving east before we got out of that huge basin of the Sea-Tac area that holds the overcast for about the entire year. But on days when it was clear, there was this certain spot on Ft. Lewis from which we were able to view both the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. But the one event I remember most about my experience with Mt. Rainier was when a couple of buddies and I took our girlfriends on a day trip to the mountain in the winter. On the way up and when we hit the snowline, we put the chains on the tires, hooked some ropes to the car, and skied up the road on our boots as the car towed us. Then we stopped at this lodge for some hot drinks, and then we headed back. Indeed this is sort of the “Reader’s Digest” version of the day, but it is my most memorable experience with Mt. Rainier.
Again, thank-you for posting this video and sharing your experience with us. I am looking forward to viewing your next post.
My goodness, this is some of the best footage I've seen! Great job.
Wow. That view of Mount Rainier. 😍😍😍
I flew from Seattle to San Francisco a few months ago and We could see Mount Rainier too but nowhere near this close. 😲
I was fortunate enough to see Mt Rainer on my flight and it is Majestic!
I had never seen a mountain like that before and the one thing that blew my mind was that Mt Rainer is nearly "just" half the height of Mt Everest!
Amazing job Alex
Everyday when u post or not at 2 you always make my day
There’s also a golf course by the runways at the airport.
My wife and I love SeaTac we visit Mount Rainier every year we stay at Packwood Lodge we love to drive up to the visitor center at Rainier
delta airlines should do more UK Europe routes. agreed.
Thank you for reposting this segment of your trip report. Magnificent! I had fun trying to spot old climbing routes from 45+ years ago.
Fantastic footage on-board the Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800 taking off at Seattle-tacoma International Airport to Salt Lake City mate
Outstanding! Wasn’t this a part of your trip report?

Hello
wow very steady recording!
Super good!
Absolutely Sensational Alex!👍
Very nice. Takeoff was northbound. You could see the Olympic mountains to the west. Then briefly Mt. Baker towards Canada as the plane banked east. Then Glacier Peak with Bellevue and Lake Sammamish around 5:00. Then of course Rainier.
Awesome views!
That is so beautiful! I always love flying out of SEA-TAC just for that...
Oh man, that engine sound is like music to my ears. Amazing video, btw, love it
~7:50 it's a VOLCANO!
I saw it from a boat on the Juan de Fuca Strait in 1959.(Must have been 100? miles away.)
Nice view, Mt Everest be like" Hold my beer son".
