I appreciate you watching! I’m actually headed out to Lake Somerville this weekend, so stay tuned for that video. This will be my second trip out there since this past summer. I can’t wait for Galveston SP to reopen either! We were there in September and conditions were terrible. The road leading into the park was full of pot holes. Renovations are definitely needed. I enjoy fishing there and will be back soon!
I don't live far from there. I have really not spent much time there. Ratcliff Park is fairly close. Just on Highway 7 one road south of 21. It has lots of sites. The lake at Ratcliff is good size. We do some day use there Kayaking and fishing. There are trails there as well.
Thanks for the lead! Mission Tejas has such great history and is really all together a great park. I can’t wait to check out the park you recommended. I always enjoy hiking the trails and watching nature in its natural environment. I appreciate you watching and safe travels!👍😎
Thanks for the informative video of the park. I enjoy you videos. Besides #14 do you remember any other spots that would fit a 35 foot fith wheel? I drove through there once and only remember seeing a few larger sites.
Thanks for watching! I would recommend campsite #10. In my opinion, it really is the best, largest, and most level site there. It is a pull through. I wouldn’t pass up on #14 if it was the only one available. The pad site is not great, but it will accommodate your larger rig!
I have been enjoying your content. I hope to see a video from Lake Somerville state park or even Galveston island state park when it opens back again.
