Great Tour video! Who was giving the Tour? was it a member of the Production Team itself or was it a Tour Guide? She seemed very knowledgeable and I agree with her opinion on the new cobbles in comparison with the old set cobbles, the new ones look different in the way they are laid, spaced out more, probably to use less and save money! Good tip re meeting the actors too, learn the name of the actors who play your favourite characters and call them by their real name, it's respectful, and it shows that you can separate real life from. fiction and appreciate the job they do. The Kabiin interior is shot in the studio as is Street Cars.
Thank you so much! The tour guide was one of the advertising team, so the people who do all product placements and branding etc. She certainly did know her stuff, so much more than anyone has ever told me haha. Still to this day trying to take it all in. I have seen a few videos of the original set and definitely the new one is more spacious looking and much fresher. And yes, it is hard trust me. The other day at a press night for Beauty & The Beast Musical, I met 3 of the cast members, and it is nerve racking but, they are more talkative if you approach them calmly and just talk like they're a friend you bumped into. Ah, now we didn't get to see interiors for either of the Kabin or Street Cars. Sadly lol
@@HooverA3060 That's interesting re your Guide, sounds like they gave you that little bit more because you won the competition, and quite rightly so! So glad you got to meet a few of the cast. I remember my first time going on to the old set many years ago when it was at Quay Street, and that moment when you walk up Viaduct Street, then suddenly look right and there's Coronation Street, THE Street just there in front of you... It's quite a surreal moment to say the least. Yes, the new set is definitely better, the way the show continues to grow, it had to be made.
Haha they certainly should have one like EastEnders/Hollyoaks does! I actually got to see some of the Washing Machines on the set. Gail Platt sadly had her 1990s Zanussi Jetsystem FJ1033 replaced by a Beko. Kevin Webster had his Hotpoint Ultima WM7X replaced with an Indesit Innex
That’s so cool. I’m going to the emmerdale village this year 😍
I'm a Corrie fan. I'm excited for this
Awww I hope you enjoy it!
Amazing.

I’m actually doing this in April with some friends of mine. I’ve always wanted to visit the cobbles! I’ve dreamed to meet one of the characters.
Cool
Wow I did some years ago on the old set just before they moved to the new one
My favourite character was Callum
That looks really cool! You shouldve requested they build a laundrette 🤣
