Our journey provided the perfect opportunity to test our IR 850nm hunting trail cameras on the forest's hidden wonders. The 940nm cameras operate stealthily, virtually invisible to most animals, offering a peaceful way to observe wildlife in their natural habitat.
On the other hand, the 850nm cameras, while superior in many aspects, emit visible infrared light that occasionally piques the curiosity of some animals, leading them to gaze directly into our hunting cams. However, it's worth noting that certain creatures, like the majestic Male Red Deer, might be briefly startled by these infrared lights.
In the future, we plan to introduce a new series of videos dedicated to equipment for our wildlife endeavors. These videos will include comparisons and explanations of our choices to assist you in making informed decisions for your own wildlife pursuits.

What do you think is better: using 850nm IR cameras or 940nm IR cameras? Both have their advantages and disadvantages. For our specific use, we prefer 940nm IR, but it's worth noting that with 850nm IR, you are more likely to attract the attention of animals. At minute 4:00 we have a Male Red Deer attracted by the visible 850nm IR lights .
