Modern DDs could pose some threat, but their weapons are not meant to sink enemy ships, but rather to cause enough damage to render them "mission-killed" (unable to fight or really do anything other than sail back to home port for extensive repairs). Modern anti-ship missiles do not pack the kind of punch necessary to sink enemy warships. See the USS Stark (a small, 4000-ton frigate) after she was hit by TWO Exocet cruise missiles in the same spot, stayed afloat and returned to port for repairs. Anti-ship missiles have armor piercing caps, but said AP caps can't pierce armor as thick as what BBs carry.
@@kristofkovacs1798 Yamato and Musashi after they launched both have the same design.... so Yamato also have that 155mm secondary gun strap on the side of the ship in 1939.... not until 1945 where Yamato were fully refit with more anti aircraft guns.... actually Musashi also will be the same design but due to the need of the battleships... so yeah.... Musashi in the late model were a nerfed down version of Yamato....
