This is my favourite series on this channel and I am glad I am here early this time. I personally do like that Arthur has flaws, his prideful, reckless, stubborn and snarky behavior makes him more relatable and interesting than if he had been just a good honorable king.
This was the first time I ever heard about Excalibur's enchanted scabbard. Thanks for sharing that info with us all! Still that complicates the narrative because at some point, (cough) the fight with Mordred (cough) Arthur must have left the scabbard behind.
TFW Fate/Stay Night of all things actually took note of this lol. Out of all Arthurian media, the one with a Rule 63 Arthur remembers little details like this more than most western Arthurian media.
@@wannabehistorian371 And here I was worried in regards to thinking of watching that show. But if it's more aware of such details then sign me up for it!
@@kimeraclan3135 Well I think Arthurian stuff is mostly just backstory to my knowledge in F/SN? Though the scabbard is a pretty huge plot point I think. It starts getting very Arthurian in Grand Order, the mobile game, and in supplementary material, though Apocrypha elaborates a lot on Mordred I think.
@@kimeraclan3135 But yeah, good watching! Just be careful that it’s pretty, well, anime, and that it can be convoluted as all hell. Like the Fate universe (or Nasuverse as it’s more widely known since it shares a universe with another series called Tsukihime) is kind of infamous for being a massive clusterf*ck for a reason. Also if you want to look for just concentrated Arthurian stuff in particular, you better like looking for a translation of a somewhat hard to find (I think) tie-in novel. Also the mobile game, though that also has hundreds of other characters. I mean it has WTF elements like Agravain holding an important administrative position and working in the shadows, or Tristan’s best bro being Bedivere and not Lancelot for some ungoldly reason, but it still shocks me often with the little references and tidbits which show that the creators at least did some research. Like I mean they even make Bedivere one-armed and have Cath Palug be a plot important creature, they pull from everything. (Btw a male Arthur also exists. He’s in this OVA and light novel series called Fate/Prototype).
Isn't the lady of the lake called "Nimue" or something? Also doesn't the lake have a name? Furthermore who is he referring to when he says "Arthur's sister"?
Full quote: “Listen, strange women lyin’ in ponds distributin’ swords is no system for a basis of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”

The sword that broke that he mentioned in the beginning of the video is the sword he pulls from the stone called caliburn, Excalibur is the sword nimue gives to him once that sword had shattered
WOW.... 1.3k to 14 (like to dislike ratio)... Well,, at least there weren't THAT many "@ssholes" out there... I personally thought that this was a great entertaining video! Very informative too! (It learned me some stuff)! lol...😂👍 EDIT: (SUBSCRIBED!!!)💯
Maaaannnn, you’re throwing so much shade on my boi, Merlin. He may do some questionable things, but he has come in as the MVP on multiple occasions
We have to give Merlin credit. Considering he was supposed to be the antichrist, hes a complete innocent.
Always have loved the Arthurian Legends.
@Jim Bob's Arcade he was involved in that Epstein incident too...
@Jim Bob's Arcade yeah. Sometimes my comments get deleted too. Fucking algorithm...
Stories such as these led me to dungeons and dragons which I have loved ever since 1981...
this video was more about Arthur and merlin than the lady of lake.
Indeed, poor Nimueh en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_of_the_Lake
i love Arthurian legends. Keep up the great content
If I understand correctly she desires the swords return after Arthur is mortally wounded.
watery women distributing swords is no basis for a system of government
Supreme executive power is derived from a mandate fron the masses, not some farcical aquatic ceremony!
@Jeppo Jinx Sir, this is a Wendy’s.
@Jeppo Jinx Once again, Sir, this is a Wendy’s. Stop. It’s sad. If you want attention, you’re not getting much of it here.
@Jeppo Jinx based schizoposting
I would love if we found more info about the Lady of the Lake, the video was not even about her.
This is my favourite series on this channel and I am glad I am here early this time.

Loving this series. Please keep it up! And can't wait for Mordred! Such a conflicted character.
Arthur * Sees Lady of the Lake, proceeds to unleash his Excalibur.
Lady of the Lake: Oh Behave!
Any chance of some longer videos in the near future? Love the few +30 minute ones you’ve uploaded, keep it up ❤️
"Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just
because some watery tart threw a sword at you!"
"I mean if I went around saying that I was an emperor just because some moist bint had lobbed a scimitar at me they'd put me away!"
🤣🤣🤣
They don’t make comedy like that anymore
Bloody peasant!!!
@Jeppo Jinx you ok bro?
Arthur: imma kick some ass!
Merlin: boy!
Arthur: okay okay I’ll behave
Do you think it’s possible if you can do a video on Thanatos from Greek mythology?

👌👌 cant wait for next Solomon. Some of the best info synchronized.
I CAN HOLD MY BREATH FOR A LONG TIME ❗❗❗❗
Obviously you a total lady boy gang star 💫 straight out of Community college..✨🇸🇨🇸🇨🇸🇨✨😮✨🤣🤣🤣✨
My dad’s stronger than your dad 😏
I can hold my breath for a longer time... My mom said.
So glad that The Legends Of History recognized that Arthur is a "horn dog" lolz!
Love all your content! Could you please make one on the angel species/ hierarchy (cherubs, seraphim, ophanim)?
I'm staring to think Mordred inherited a lot of Arthur's bad traits.
Inbreds usually inherit more bad traits than good ones
Talk about Morgan LeFay please. :D
Why? So he can talk about anyone BUT Morgan LeFey??
Arthur is such a rebellious teenage little sh*t here and I love it lol.
The Black Knight always triumphs! Have at you!!
So do you think the Lady of the Lake is a thread from the Celtic Meluscine legends?
I love her interpretation in *Merlin 1998* portrayed by Miranda Richardson. There she was personified as the benevolent twin of Queen Mab.
Or in the immortal words of Robert Heinlein "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch"
Great story telling
Ooh lady of the lake
Good video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Do a video on Molech

your thinking of the continuity of the TV show merlin
@@mathieuleader8601 OK I see. Thanks
You should do Lady of the Night next
Myrddin and Nemue - from Wales 🏴
Merlin is just the walking spoiler of the story. Arthur is like a kid playing a video game with his older brother that already beat the game.
This has 1% Lady in the water info.
Click bait
Typical
Merlin likely has omniscience, or at least nigh omniscience...
WE WANT LANZELET
Anyone read the witcher series
Full quote: “Listen, strange women lyin’ in ponds distributin’ swords is no system for a basis of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.”
Isn't this about the Lady of the Lake?? Then why is he just talking about Arthur
💘 this
The Lady Of The Lake had what would be (roughly) one paragraph in a book about her! 🤔
Any seven deadly sins fan here???
So the Lady of the Lake was Merlin?
This story is possible about the King Edessa✍✍
🔥🔥🔥
Why the Merlin hate?...he does have some point in guiding Arthur, who is still foolish from time to time..
Never heard of this ...I know the rock story 🤔
The real is on
I really like your videos, but I could do without the snark and prudery. I'd rather keep to the subject matter.
And how,, do you know she was,,, a Lady? Just let her speak, for "From the abundance of the heart,
the mouth speaks." Is she evil speaks,, take it form there.
You meen king pelenore
I thought Arthur got his sword from the sword in the stone!
That is one that grants him his place as King™
The sword that broke that he mentioned in the beginning of the video is the sword he pulls from the stone called caliburn, Excalibur is the sword nimue gives to him once that sword had shattered
You sound like your sitting on a hot saucy sausage and even though it’s slightly painful 😣 your loving 🥰 it
38th
becus he was a king

The reference to sexual assault was off-putting js 😒
