Some of the questions remind me how feminism advanced in the 90s. Makes me sad how much it regressed with reality tv and pop idols of the 2000s and 2010s
It's an ebb and flow, just like most things in society. But if you're talking solely music, I tend to agree. There were WAY more female-led rock bands in the 90s in the charts. Hell, there were way more ROCK bands in the 90s in the charts. Some great females in alternative-punk bands, shoegaze/dreampop and dark indie lately.
