Coon cheese changed to Cheer cheese some months ago, there’d been talk of it for quite some time. Years ago Coon was a derogatory name towards indigenous people thus the change. Personally, I feel it’s an insult to the makers of the Coon cheese as it was their surname. I use a vinegar or baking soda/water ratio wash and no taste left behind. That’s funny about the cucumber saga😂 Love these challenges and hopefully an Aldi one coming too😁 Could head baby Zoe’s tiny noises, precious ♥️♥️

The cheese name was a huge saga I’m surprised you missed it in the news lol the original name is the family name of the original cheese makers, but unfortunately as everything is so PC now, they were forced to change it.

Yeah the name Coon was seen as derogatory and racist - even though the original owners of Coon had the surname Coon. But as we all know Coon has another meaning, so yeah, a name change.
