ORU Talks - Dr Denis Mukwege (Nobel Peace Laureate)

In December 2019, Nobel Peace Laureate and gynaecologist Dr Denis Mukwege visited Örebro University in conjunction with Human Rights and Peace Week in Örebro.
Dr Denis Mukwege held an open lecture at Örebro University during the morning. Also involved were Örebro University contributors Sofia Strid (docent in gender studies) and Rúna Baianstovu (senior lecturer in social work).
The theme for the day was honour violence, violent regimes and sexualised violence as a weapon in war and armed conflicts.
