The Hasbro team has stated that this headsculpt is Sebastian “Shaw” not Stan mate.😁 the fact that the head has to be a bit smaller to fit under the helmet, but great figure. Can’t wait to get mine.👍
@@GNewmaster im definetely sure the sculptor put a nod there, and he kinda mixed the two likenesss altogether no matter what hasbro told him to do. You totally see hyden likeness mixed with the wrinkes and sharp features of shaw. pretty much like that mythos obi wan statue.
Managed to get it today (June 26th 2023 at the time of comment). But I would be lying if I only picked up a single one. Yes: this is the first time I pick up two units just so I can keep one carded. I did open the one that looked better in terms of painting. While the headsculpt is a mixed one due to either being Sebastian Shaw or Hayden Christensen, I think they had to adapt it so the two/three-pieced helmet could work. Even then it doesn't sit fully... but for the scale, it is truly impressive that they can keep the authenticity. It is a nice EpV/EpVI Vader all around. When Hasbro can do something amazing, it is entirely possible. I already have the Dark Times Vader as I posted on one of your previous videos so I know how good the articulation is, but I think the RotJ version has a slightly bigger head/helmet which limits the movement of the head just a little bit when compared to Hasbro's previous effort. What truly sold me on the whole package was the cardback. THAT cardback... And yes, I got a case so I can keep it clean. Having seen the OT on VHS and a 3D Sculpture Puzzle of Vader since 1999, I think it's fair to say that this figure has quite the sentimental value to me.
I have the ‘97 Darth Vader removable helmet. That was the first one that I knew of. It actually looks good too. I just looked at it, and the lightsaber is like a see through purple color. Not sure if it faded over the years.
"SHAW" Not Stan. This is Vader, Not Bucky. LOL I see Sebastian Shaw when I look at mine. Especially when you tilt the Head forward into the Breathing Apparatus. I think the head might be slightly Narrower to allow the Removeable Helmet to be Removeable. I know the Face Mask & Dome both looked quite Squished when I removed them from the Tray, but the moment the 3 Pieces Combined, Over the Headsculpt, I said Exactly what You did... Best 3.75" Darth Vader Figure EVER Made, and Best ROTJ Darth Vader Hasbro have made Yet. Hopefully the Black Series Version will look as Good as This. This TVC Release makes the Original 2014 Black Series ROTJ Vader look Pathetic.
What, is this an exclusive to somewhere I've never heard of? I never saw this go up for pre-orders from Ent. Earth or BBTS! I'm kinda havin' a WTF! moment here. There's suppose to be a RoTJ Han Solo coming out too. Anyone know when the hell that's to be released?
Excellent 40th anniversary figure of darth vader can't wait for this figure keep collecting and may the force be with you all star wars fans the force is strong with this one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻g newmaster
While it misses the mark, in terms of likeness to Sebastian Shaw, it most certainly does not look like Hayden Christensen, at all. It simply is a poor likeness to Sebastian Shaw, with respect, train your eyes a little more.
@@GNewmaster Hasbro has already explained that its Sebastian Shaw, so whats the story here? They intended it to be Sebastian Shaw, and by accident sculpted it to look like Hayden Chrstensen? What you’re saying doesn’t make sense. They can’t accidentally sculpt one actors likeness while intending it to look like another actor.
@@julythrunov I don't think it was an accident. I think it was probably intentional so they could make it look the way it did in Kenobi, especially since Hayden Christensen is popular again.
@@GNewmaster bro I have it in my hand and the head shape and cheekbones definitely look like Hayden Christensen, lot of people saying Shaw including Hasbro and I do think the lips and nose look like Shaw, bit at the same time I'm pretty sure this head is the one that will turn up in the Kenobi 2 pack
I still hold the potf2 Vader in such high regard in comparison to newer Vader figures. However, I think Hasbro outdid themselves with this new one. Where did you buy this one?
The actor was Sebastion Shaw

Yes, yes, "Shaw". My bad, but it does look just like Hayden. It does not look like Sebastian in my opinion.

Maybe it's due to the fact that is smaller to fit the helmet better
Dark Times Vader: I’m the best 3.75 Vader figure!
Death Star II Vader: Hold my beer
dark times one has better eye glass
The 2010 Vintage collection version had a 3 piece removable helmet and removable head .

Awesome, I keep swapping out my VC figures if I have the new updated version, so I tend to forget what the older versions look like.
@@GNewmaster the 97 version has a great helmet snap on. Check it out.

I am with you Gregg - great figure and I see Hayden in that face.
The helmet on the other figure is actually newer. The older one came in 2 pieces.
It's Sebastian Shaw, man.
I know, I know. I miss spoke. I'm so used to talking about Sebastian Stan, it was a Freudian slip.

Probably got it on ebay from China.

Thank you! It is such a great figure.
Do you not think his unmasked head looks a bit too big for his body?
Honestly, I think it looks good. I am very happy with the figure.
Its thinner than Sebastian Shaw's head, which was rather round and bumbular. So no, not really.
The Han Solo was a big letdown compared to this

Totally disagree with you, but I respect your opinion. If you look at the eyes and even the shape of the head it looks like Hayden in Kenobi.
