Hearing this game really makes me feel nostalgic. I used to go bowling with my grandmother when I was in middle school, and the bowling alley had a BK2000. The sound from that machine dominated the place. "You can do it you can do it!" I really miss the days of arcades in the US.
I just realized that I sat here looking at a video of a pinball simulation for about a half-hour simply because the theme that keeps playing is fucking amazing. XD
Brian Schmidt Ed Boon linked me to this video. The soundtrack and look/feel of this game has always been my fave table. I am going to grab it on Steam at some point! Isn't it great to have it preserved forever digitally? :D
Amongst the shadows of the night, he lives. He is powerful. He savagely strives to take your wealth and make it his own. He'll stop at nothing to achieve this, and relishes the fact. Your tears of sadness and loss are the sweetest taste he's ever known. He is greed. Your gold sates the fire burning deep within the pits of his tormented soul. He is relentless. You cannot run. Fear is his greatest weapon- besides a bad-ass lighting spear, crafted from the heart of a storm by a totally kick-ass wizard. He is not without a sense of humor, however. He is sarcastically humble. He denies his strength to those who sing his praises. He cannot accept their idolization. He knows what he is. Existence is a joke to him. He is cunning. He laughs and mocks you for succumbing to his will. He swiftly rides off atop his threatening, dark stallion, taking your riches along with him, returning to the shadows whence he came. Still, you feel compelled to follow, and give him your money, willfully. Man, who knew Ted Dibiase had a side gig?
And that is the big reason why The Black Knight of his Eponymous Pinball series became soooo rich, he built his own castle, got his own minions, became the Darklord of his land and still gets loads of money from other pinball players to this very day. Hence to the reason on why The Black Knight: Sword of Rage came out on the summer of 2019. Now if only NetherRealm Studios decided to bring The Black Knight from his Eponymous Pinball series into Mortal Kombat 11 where he's seen trading blows with Shao Kahn, oh man that be glorious!
No free turns after acquiring five free balls; each one earned thereafter collects bonus points. Since 1990, one of my favourite pinball machines. I've played it many times before.
During the golden age of fighting games, I put my quarters on the glass waiting to play M.K, *The Black Knight* would randomly do a cool light/sound show. It stood out from the other pinball machines. I liked it more than Adams Family. I think it had a motion sensor because when someone walked by TBK he would taunt *”GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!”* It actually scared younger kids. P.S 18:50 This guy is a pinball Wizard. I didn’t know there was an end game sound track! P.P.S This machine was an epileptic’s kid’s nightmare. ☠️
The Black Knight of his eponymous pinball series deserves a place in Mortal Kombat 11 as a guest character, and since Black Knight: Sword of Rage came out at some point in summer of 2019.
Eric McHugh I love that, like the voices of those oppressed by the Black Knight suddenly show they believe in you and cheer you on in your epic battle to defeat his tyranny!
I was just talking to my eldest child about all the quarters I dropped on this machine back in the day. Found this video ... thank you for letting me relive my youth!
At the arcade in the mall I would play this. It was always so loud which was great because damn listen to that epic soundtrack and voiceovers. The thing called to you from afar.
Really? I found the exact opposite. The real machine I could hit loops and combos the way this player does in the video but the emulated table plays WAY different and I suck at it. I should see if there has been a good updated table cos I LOVE me some Black Knight 2000.
This table, alone, is why I want season 3. It has to be one of, if not THE, favorite table I've ever seen. I LOVE the soundtrack, and I like how it pioneered a "Wizard mode".
My dad had one of these in the home during my teen years and I got to play it a lot. They really nailed the physics and the way I expected balls to bounce and ricochet around the playfield. Great play!
Nice! We had this at our bowling alley when I was growing up. I used to transition between this, Roadblasters, Pit Fighter, and Final Fight. Those were good days.
This is an amazing simulation of my favorite pinball ever, so realistic, except one thing, it seems to award the upper loop as long as you get it near the upper right gate, on the real thing, you must pass all the way through it to collect the loop or the combo, which, even as this simulation shows, it's not always as smooth a ride around that loop as it could be. But even though the simulation might be very slightly easier than the real thing (the nudges seem more pronounced) the game plays fast, and this score is ultra-amazing, nonetheless. Now maybe I won't have to buy a $3,000 box my wife'll hate each time she'd see it crammed somewhere in our house. :^)
William Priester, Jr. It is a lot easier in the game than in real life I think. Nudging is not as easy irl. In the game i nudge every other second, you cannot do this with precision on the real machine.
We had this in my student's union... at it's best when no-one's had the King's Ransom for a few days as the bonus is cumlative, one tiime we got it twice during a bit of a session and the 2nd time was hardly worth the trouble.
I played this game in 1987. I could play almost as long as this guy but the tilt was sensitive. I remember one time I had 15 million points and a free game. I got so bored but I realized several people were watching me. I gave the game to a little kid and he ended it in under 60 seconds.
+angelGrigorov There have been a few multiball-capable games before BK2K (such as Firepower), but this one does have a first: The first 'Wizard Mode', which is a sorta-endgame goal that yields massive amounts of points.
The first pinball game with multiball was 1956 Bally's Balls-o-Poppin, that one is EM. The first solid state pinball with multiball is Firepower. SEGA's Apollo 13 is insane with 13 ball play. To get that, shoot the rocket few times when BLASTOFF letters are lit. The game will empty the first trough, with usual delay between balls, then suddenly secondary trough is emptied as well. That one throws remaining 8 pinballs into play, completing the cycle.
I use to put quarters up on the glass to wait in line to play Mortal Kombat at my local arcade. This machine would do its own light show next to M.K. This song was a huge part on my youth. P.S This machine was an epileptic’s kid’s nightmare. P.P.S this guys a fucking pinball Wizard! I did know there was end game sounds!
Oh yeah. At the nearest arcade to where I am, I usually gravitate towards BK2K, WCS94, and Champion's Pub. Particularly Champion's Pub. I would add Gofers, but they're selling theirs, and I don't earn enough to justify buying it.
This pinball machine has always stuck in my memory since I was a kid! I think mostly because of the soundtrack! But I just downloaded it from PSN for my PS4 and the song never comes on. The knights voice is there but no song. Really disappointed! Thinking of deleting and reinstalling. Has anyone else had this problem?
I get weirdness on the Steam version for this table - ball teleports sometimes. I notice the wall goes up sometimes after hitting the ramp and locking a ball too but maybe that's somewhere in the rules and I'll have to dig through them.
I used to have this table on Pinball Arcade, and it randomly got replaced by Stern's Merry Shelley's Frankenstein. A cool table, for sure, but I miss BK2K
hi ive been thinking about getting the season 1 tables, just wondering though do you have to pay to use the machines every time you play or is it just one flat fee for all the tables in a season ? , what im try to say is are there any hidden fees or extra costs involved after purchasing, also could someone give me a run down on the ps4 controls for this game what do all the buttons do? thanksRead more
+TheDevilshandpuppet Season passes are one flat fee with all the tables, no strings attached. Regarding controls, you can find them in the Help/Options section of the game.
You have either done some fantastic tweaking of the physics, or are just a chad at the vpinball version of BK2K! When I play the real machine I hit skyway loops and ramp-loop combos back to back to back with ease, but on Vpinball I can almost never hit a single one. The default physics aren't set NEAR to the reality of the machine, so my muscle memory betrays me. Did you tweak the table, or did you just get gud with the default settings for the table?
Awesome music, but I've never been a fan of the game itself. It seems like you play the entire game with the right flipper. As you can see around the 16 minute mark, he can just use the left flipper to hold one of the balls, because you just don't use it for much of anything.
Hearing this game really makes me feel nostalgic. I used to go bowling with my grandmother when I was in middle school, and the bowling alley had a BK2000. The sound from that machine dominated the place. "You can do it you can do it!" I really miss the days of arcades in the US.
should come to the UK arcades are on the rise again
É legal mais eu prefiro a original dos anos 80 e versão da TAITO que fala em português é mais empolgante
GIVE ME YOUR MONEY.
....take my money, Black Knight
Oh hey, I was the 100th Comment here. I'll say, this is one of the Greatest Pinball Cabinets that Williams has developed in the late 80's!
I just realized that I sat here looking at a video of a pinball simulation for about a half-hour simply because the theme that keeps playing is fucking amazing. XD
lol, I don't blame you, at all. XD
Hey, thanks! I was psyched when this finally came out.

I love how 80's-like the music sounds on this table. "You got the power!"
This is originally from 1989
still 80's tho.

The music turns this good pinball table into a great one!
I want this table in my living room, just to rock out to the amazing radical soundtrack
My favorite pinball game ever! The soundtrack was beast.
Just broke 10 million for the first time. No signs of getting tired of this one here :)
No free turns after acquiring five free balls; each one earned thereafter collects bonus points.
Since 1990, one of my favourite pinball machines. I've played it many times before.
Ok......why am I NOW hearing about this machine? This looks really freakin cool!

That could be the strangest IP juggling act in the history of electronic entertainment.

When the lyrics come in at 3:30 it's such a bizarre hilarious moment.

This game is sooooooooooooo much harder in reality hahaha

This is metal AF
THIS IS MY JAM!
Nice score. This is one of the tables I struggle with, for some reason. I find it quite fun though, much because of the music, I guess.
A Singing Pinball Machine. Nice!
This was one of the few pinballs I could actually play good on. I need to get this on Pinball Arcade.
Bit too late for that. Zen has the license now.
@@pinballwiz45b I wish zen did bk2000 because it isn't a licensed game and they did funhouse
@@adventures6694 Zen has a licensed game now (Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure)
Which never made it onto TPA
Amazing run, wow.
if he was playing the real thing no way he could nudge like that been playing this at work and tilt is crazy sensitive
I'll never be as good as you 45, but at least I've given you a little fight every now and then. You're the champ. This is high class pinball.

I love the soundtrack on this table, but I have trouble seeing the ball against the background.

I like how you didn't even get to ball 2 until 38:23.
You should apologize to this game for the savage beating you gave its scoreboard.
The legendary Black Knight 2000. So simplistic and yet so very hardcore. I was wondering if that is the first pinball machine with multiball play ?
+angelGrigorov There have been a few multiball-capable games before BK2K (such as Firepower), but this one does have a first: The first 'Wizard Mode', which is a sorta-endgame goal that yields massive amounts of points.

‘You can do it, you can do it.” Then proceed to lose! Lol
Hitting RANSOM used to (and would still) give me piss-shivers.
I remember bumping into an ace at "Black Knight 2000" in the land of the Scarlet Knight. ZIL (that was her high-score entry), RU out there somewhere?
There's a huge cheese factor on this machine. It's more lightshow than a good table.
If anything, it's got great music too. Dan "Toasty" Forden, Brian Schmidt, and Steve Ritchie.
Rules suck for competition, I agree.
This pinball soundtrack is...
SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great music 🎶 for pinball machine, but black knight by Stern sounds epic.
I'm MarkMSH on Steam. Your score shames me. Instructive though. I love the soundtrack. :)
STAY AWESOME! :)
Can you make a video of original black knight? I can't get the extra ball from lower playfield goal!
