- A multi-cam step-by-step of the Dolly Llama streamer. This pattern came to fame as a swing style streamer in Alaska. It has since gained popularity in the steelhead and rainbow trout world on the bigger Western rivers.
Material List:
Rear Hook: Gamakatsu B-10S #4 (Equivalent Stinger Hook)
Tail/Body: Black Magnum Rabbit Strip
Connection: 30 Lb Spider Wire
Front (Sacrificial) Hook: Gamakatsu B-10S #1 (Equivalent Hook/Shank)
Body: Palmered Black Magnum Rabbit Strip
Flash: Lateral Scale (2 Per Side)
Throat: White Rabbit Strip
Collar: Black Ice Dub
Cone: Large Nickle Conehead - Спорт
Josh - great tie. When I tie these, I run a free floating loop of spider wire from the front shank to the stinger hook. I don't connect the stinger hook to any of the bunny fur. Works great, and simplifies the tie. Doesn't foul. Doesn't result in misses. Makes it so you can replace the stinger hook if you want (or add the hook on the water). Cheers! Best silver salmon streamer there is.
Thanks Timothy, I really like the idea of the free floating loop. That would make the tie a lot easier. I'll have to try that and see how it works. Thanks for the tip!
