Hi I'm the nurse who actually posted that comment 😅. I'd be happy to come on and talk about a niche I've used to maximize my income as a nurse. I've been making consistent 20K a month since covid and still now. But with all that said he's 100% right California and northern cali is the golden goose and standard of nursing. If you are going to work a ton of OT you should work smarter not harder.

The think I’ve been concerned about is that paychecks you’ve reviewed before are from quite some time ago, which, if I remember correctly, RN pay was super high and so was demand during and after COVID, but I’ve been wondering if that is no longer the case and those high earning opportunities are no longer available.

I see that pay was super high during and soon after COVID, but that has been dwindling, as well as demand for RNs opportunities to pick up OT. in fact, one of the paychecks you reviewed was from a while back, so I wonder if the high income earning opportunities and the high demand for nurses and picking up shifts is still available, even in California.
If “anywhere in the United States” truly means anywhere (Alabama, Missouri….), I’d be interested to hear. But this comment already sounds like a bit of backtracking by moving the endline to “maximizing” money rather than the original comment.
I'm from Missouri, STL area. You can do it in MOST not all but it depends on the facility, policies, cultures and a lot more. Most of all it depends on making opportunities for yourself when you're at the facility. But I've been doing it roughly for the last 3 years and I haven't made less than 20,000$/mo a month. This month I should hit close to 40K. Jason is 110% right when he says California is king but when it's not an option there are others. @@mancycle1
Jason, this is Doug(Nurses2Tech) I'm just trying to work but your content is just riveting! As you know I'm on contract with KP as a Manager and have a lot of interactions with the RN that work for me. #1 RN's that have been at KP over 5 years are "on the road to fire" They not only make a high hourly rate but can maximize the weekend and night shift increases that is much higher. Additionally, the RN's that have a great rep and Managers like them, can get the 7 days in a row or holiday shifts.
Hey Doug! It's really insane how much money some Kaiser nurses are making. The problem I see though is that many of them aren't managing their money properly or are taking on very risky investments in pursuit of a quick payoff and end up losing a lot of money. I worked with several nurses who spent tens of thousands on crypto a few years ago and they all fell for a phishing scheme that resulted in them getting their entire coin base accounts wiped clean.
@@NursesToRiches you know how the saying goes, it’s not how much you make it’s how much you keep. I believe in the tradition investments like property,stocks and index life insurance savings, have known of 1 person that has made money in crypto but he moved over his money to invest in the traditional way. As capital gains tax and property taxes keep rising, it’s really hard to know what is best.
Could you do a video on an LVN at Kaiser. I plan on starting as one then moving up to RN when I have the funds

It is still available. The nurse in this video made this much money because there is a lot of overtime available. You can see that her paystub is from May 5th to May 18th.

Good afternoon. Amazing content man. The only fear I have of working in California as a nurse is forced vaccination/medical tyranny. Will I be forced to take annual vaccinations if I join Kaiser or is there religious exemption available?
I tried many times to get your July 4th Kaiser salary "how to" before the deadline. To much disappointment, I was never redirected to an order page. Or, must I buy a VIP package to access certain information? I sent a comment request that was date and time stamped. I have 2 more days til the 50% off deal ended. Hi Jason, l don't know if every kp pay rate is different, l applied at kp, l was offered the job they pay rate was $50.00/hr and night differential was $4.50 as a Medsurge nurse at Kaiser at west Los Angeles, l have to opt out that offer . Thank you for all you do.
Southern California Kaiser hospitals and Northern California hospitals have different unions. The hospitals in Southern California do not pay well. I have talked about this extensively on the channel and even made an entire video comparing the two regions. However, I think you should have taken the offer because once you're in the Kaiser system, you can transfer to another location, where the pay is twice as much, six months after your start date.
Are there these many OTs in other units? or is this particular to ED in your hospital? I doubt med surge have these many Ots
Medsurg, Tele, ICU, and step down nurses can easily make $300k/yr. Monica works tele and I see the numerous notifications she gets on a daily basis to pick up shifts.
Is the Covid & Flue Shot still mandatory? I’m able to decline here in Massachusetts
It is mandated but exemptions are allowed.

Not a lot of hours if you ask me 😂😂. I hit 120 hours working security and construction once in just one week. Although sometimes you need a break it’s kinda crazy

Nope. Only Kaiser. That's why, even though a few other hospitals have higher rates than Kaiser, you are still able to earn more at Kaiser-there are so many more ways to make money here besides the 7th day premium.
