How to overlay images on iPhone

While the shortcut setup is a little fiddly, especially if you’ve not used the Shortcuts app before, it’s pretty foolproof, and once done you can overlay images to your heart's content ❤️

You have to go at a slower pace with this type of video. You’re speaking too fast. Unfortunately, because this is such a good set of instructions. Step 6 needs the most slowing down. I can tell you all this technique works. You just have to slow down the video because the instructor speaks far too quickly.

What he is not explaining is the last bit… go to your short cuts menu and select the overlay shortcut or whatever you named it… select the photos and the overlay app at the end pops up👍

After 45 min of messing with this, I finally got it to show up in the share menu only to get this message "No overlay image
make sure to choose a variable in the overlay image action"
I did all the steps and re did them, then did them again. even went step by step on the written instructions

You lost me at the nitty gritty part at 2:27. I feel like at this time stamp you missed a step explaining. When I go to my picture and hit the share button I don't see multiple pictures at the bottom like yours.

This is a very helpful tutorial but he is missing the last step, once you’re done with making your new shortcut-
1. Go to the shortcut app
2. Open the new short cut
3. Select the two photos and overlay and reposition as needed!
Worked like a charm!

The part he's not explaining much is that you need to use an image editor. Any 3rd party app you can paste your image after you copy it from your photo gallery.

When I clicked on the Image on step 6, the Photos filled both the Image and the second one. I clicked on the second one and there was no option to select variable. So while clicked on the second one, which was also filled with Photos, I clicked clear variable. Which gave me another ‘image’, and I filled that one with the second photos action. Not pressed continue but managed to do that instead.
