The Walter Payton Center was built in 2006 and went through another renovation in 2019 BEFORE Deion got to JSU that was completed while he was there. The practice field was paid for by Walmart through a partnership of which Deion was getting a 40 percent cut of that helped to supplement his salary. We are greatful for his contribution to JSU but there is a LOT of misinformation out there.
