They're Great machines. I know alot of people who got'em. (There was one band I saw that eas twO guys with 4 eps's :) lol Two fun tricks... Sample a simple 'ahhhh' sound ...loop it. Copy the tracks so there's 8 layers. Connect each Pitch parameter to the mod wheel ... BUT...make each layers pitch go a different direction and amount When you play it and move the wheel it's like a choir from the Omen or something. OR... Sample a long sentence...make a tiiiiny loop at the beginning so it just makes a tiny buzz... then connect the loop-start position to the wheel. When you move the wheel it pushes the tiny loop through the sentence (sounds kinda robotic)
Cool that you liked it. Ensoniq, as I feel, always had a special sound to their gear. Always warm as you say. it's hard to go wrong with any of them music tools.
My latest album utilizes EPS, EPS16 & ASR10. All amazing pieces of equipment. Wouldn't want to part with any of them. Those MicroBrute's sound amazing, as well.
Yep, hit load and the double click the instruments. Then they all play together. Overlapping like layers. Cool for when you are sequencing from an external unit.
Do you have any Choir Ahh samples or instruments like that with this keyboard? I'm trying to verify if the Ensoniq EPS16+ is where the Choir Ahh samples from Secret of Mana came from, but trying to find any recordings of those instruments from this specific keyboard have been pretty difficult to find.
Since it's a sampler it could be. I don't have any stock sounds at this time. The only ones I've got are for the Mirage. I hope you find the answer to your quest and I'm sorry I couldn't be more of help.

They are a special breed. I think all ensoniqs have a special tone or clarity/heft to them that just pleases me. I've doubled up on mine.

the guy allowed himself to be ripped off, for 150 euro's. that machine is at least worth double the amount.
At one time, people threw them at you. But they are gaining status and value again.
