I check weekly how moist it looks, and I put little dishes of water in the incubator (same container as the egg cups) to help keep the humidity levels up.
My gecko just laid her eggs and Buried her eggs in the eco earth where the heat from the heat lamp hits at night. Now I was told to just leave them and don’t touch them. Will anything happen to them if I leave them?
So I have had no problems with eggs until now. My lepards are laying dry deflated eggs. I've tried changing the lay box parameters and it's still happening this season. Any recommendations?
Old video but. Holy shit I have to have a can of dip in every part of my house and I’ve never thought of using them for this thank you for accidentally teaching me this!!
Where do you get those cups from? If you don't mind me asking. I've been debating about what cups to use to incubate and I believe this will work well for me.
My female layed a egg about last night. I dont have a incubator is there a way to keep the egg alive without it? I have many fish tanks that create alot of humility can i set up a heat light or something around that area?
could someone please tell me what morph the orange leopard is that keeps passing by on screen? I have one just like that and the store couldn't give me any information about him... I suspect its a baldy?
MOD for Life I use enough water where the vermiculite clumps when you squeeze it but very minimal to no water drips from the clump. There is a ratio but I forgot sorry. I think it may be 1:1 by amount not weight but I could be wrong.
Have a question, I have a similar incubator that I just bought like the one in your video. I noticed you said for Female to set temp at 81, but looking at the video it shows 86, can you please explain? Thank you!
Setting it a little higher ensures the temp INSIDE the egg incubation container stays between 79-82 :) Depends on the incubator brand, may have to play around with temps a little bit.
You mention slowly moving eggs over to the Male incubator and raising the temp to increase color after 2-3 wks... How do you go about slowly switching them from the F to M incubator after a few weeks if you've got eggs in the male incubator already set at 89? Is it ok to take their incubation cup out so it's like room temp, put in the eggs and then set them back in the incubator to reach 89 or does it need to be more gradual somehow?
JonnieVamp It's safe to move them from 82 to 89 right away, but just to be safe I now have an incubator at 85 , so after two weeks I put them in the 85 degree incubator for one week, then the rest of the time in the 89 one.
GreatGiftedGeckos Should be good the entire time, I keep water trays in the incubator as well to help the humidity levels, I prefer an 80% humidity level. I always check egg cups every other week.
Hi my gecko egg keeps on denting and indenting the temp is 79 to 83 degrees what does this mean it glows pink and orange is that ok it is 2 weeks the other is full but glows orange
It has been done yes, but it dries up quickly and when dry can pull moisture from the eggs and dent them fast. Vermiculite and Perlite seem to work the best. Both can be found at your local hardware or gardening store. :)
A good tutorial thank you! So I got a female gecko accidentally which wasn't the point. So she's pregnant. I don't have an incubator and the ones I've seen are really expensive for one time and I'm not planning to breed since this was an accident Now I've heard that if I keep them in a good temperature I don't need an incubator I can also do them in a separate vibarium with a constant heat I'm not sure what to do if the eggs have hatched. How long they have to stay away from their mother or that I have to put them back with her. Also my male doesn't want to eat, refuses to is a better word and his tail is getting slimmer. Is this normal? The rest of the body is still the same tho
Robin H If you keep the eggs between 80 and 89 they should be fine without an incubator. You can separate the eggs from the mother whenever, sooner the better and they can be away from her forever. The mother lays them and in the wild, leaves them. Your male could be thinning out from breeding, I would suggest trying to feed him dubia roaches when he comes around. If he doesnt eat for a month I would seek help from a reptile specialist.
They take anywhere from 30ish - 80 days to hatch so yours may be getting ready to hatch ! Check for mold, make sure it’s moist and warm. Make sure it’s actually fertile as well.
This was a very well-informative and helpful video! Thank you! Cleaning out a spot in a friend's yard, we found a little mediterranean gecko egg, and want to try and see if we can save it.
I lost three babies they were fully developed and started to hatch but kept dying in the egg and didn't hatch out anyone know why someone told me to lower the temp because their developing too fast is this true
Not recommended, perlite and vermiculite get the job done for a cheap price, only organic though, ones with fertilizers added will kill you your babies!
Hi nice vid I don’t know what’s wrong but my bedding for my gecko eggs feels cold what does this mean the temp says it is at 81 degrees is there something wrong
MOD for Life there's ratios you can go by, I would recommend searching them up on the internet. I personally just go by feel cause I've done it so many times.
Finally Someone Who gives A simple and understandable Tutorial
Harmb e Thanks for watching :)
why it like this
i love his ball python tattoo
miranda J Thank you :)
Imagine all of those mealworms falling in the ground
What are your methods for keeping the vermiculite from drying out?
I check weekly how moist it looks, and I put little dishes of water in the incubator (same container as the egg cups) to help keep the humidity levels up.
@@huntermanley8712if the eggs are dried out are the eggs dead? Because I been throwing them out
when u staCK the eggs the hole doesnt get blocked?
My gecko just laid her eggs and Buried her eggs in the eco earth where the heat from the heat lamp hits at night. Now I was told to just leave them and don’t touch them. Will anything happen to them if I leave them?
What do you put the vermiculite in what are those called
Anyone now any equipment needed , cause my gecko laid eggs but I don’t know the equipment necessary to hatch it
Love the grizzly cans lol thanks for the idea
Can I temporarily use coco peat as substrate for incubator because that is all I have right now and my gecko just laid eggs
So I have had no problems with eggs until now. My lepards are laying dry deflated eggs. I've tried changing the lay box parameters and it's still happening this season.
Any recommendations?
thanks for sharing!
Old video but. Holy shit I have to have a can of dip in every part of my house and I’ve never thought of using them for this thank you for accidentally teaching me this!!
My geckos laid eggs in wet substrate and so the dirt is sticking to the eggs. Is that a problem? Will it make the molding or not grow properly?
Can I use cocopeat as an incubation medium?
Where did you get those awesome shelves and containers? Please need to know.
Where do you get those cups from? If you don't mind me asking. I've been debating about what cups to use to incubate and I believe this will work well for me.
Should the eggs be placed on an incubation tray or placed directly on the incubation ground? How should moisture spray during incubation? Thks
If you don’t have a Incubator , what can I use
Do you add any moisture during the incubation period or once its in you leave it alone thanks
great videos love them please try to make alot lol
Thanks a ton! We will make more videos as soon as possible. (:
So you have 3 incubators a male a female and the warmer one? Or is the male incubator the warmer one?
What kind of incubators do you use?
My female layed a egg about last night. I dont have a incubator is there a way to keep the egg alive without it? I have many fish tanks that create alot of humility can i set up a heat light or something around that area?
do you transfer the females to the hotter incubator just like that or do you slowly raise the temperature?
Do you have the Styrofoam incubator plugging into a thermostat?
Love this video!! Planning to breed my female! Lol you deserve more subscribers lol
Mahmood Gaming Thank you for the kind words. Good luck! :)
I have the same morph of gecko that was shown at the very beginning.
vanguardlv what morph is that please I have one too
Dean Coppens looks like a super hypo tangerine carrot tail baldy, or SHTCTB for short
Ok can you tell me if I get a Tupperware with moisturized substrate with a heat mat at 82 would it still work as a incubator
thx men now I know what to do
where did you get your incubator? or could you recommend some?
Can you tell me what incubators you used
could someone please tell me what morph the orange leopard is that keeps passing by on screen? I have one just like that and the store couldn't give me any information about him... I suspect its a baldy?
Thank you for the video. Great info given. What heating system do you use on your shelves?
greg king We use 3 inch flex watt heat tape controlled by a Helix Thermostat kept at 90 degrees.
Is there a certain amount of water u have to mix with vermiculite ??
MOD for Life I use enough water where the vermiculite clumps when you squeeze it but very minimal to no water drips from the clump. There is a ratio but I forgot sorry. I think it may be 1:1 by amount not weight but I could be wrong.
Does it have to stay that moist until it hatches or will the moisture be locked in to where you do not needto mess with humidity?
@@huntermanley8712 by weight not volume. 1:1 ratio
What should I do if my leopard geckos eggs don’t plump back up even if they are fertile
were did u buy that incubator and how much did it cost
We purchased all of our incubators at LLLReptile.com. The fridge style one was $129.
Hey I was wondering if your incubators are still working or did they stop working? Thanks.
Great videos. Keep them up. What do you do with the hatchlings? Do you sell them?
+rapidhockles Thanks! We keep most of our hatchlings to breed again but we occasionally sell a few at local reptile shows.
Where did you buy your incubator please????
what type of incubator do you use?
What is the name of the incubator you use
Why do you need the vermiculite?
could i use eco earth instead of vermiculite
Have a question, I have a similar incubator that I just bought like the one in your video. I noticed you said for Female to set temp at 81, but looking at the video it shows 86, can you please explain? Thank you!

so do you need an incubator, or can I just buy an Egg tray by THG , fill it with hatchrite and out ii in a warm spot?
Thx
Joel
Joel van Schalkwyk use a Tupperware with eco earth that's moist and have a heat mat under it, boom homemade incubator

why can't you just raise the fridge incubator temp after 3c wks instead of switching? i missed it.
Did any one else see the cans of winter green in the tubs :)
i like the dip cans

Very helpful 👍🏻
Thank you I'm a UA-camr bout to start doing that
Is that a dip can at 5:18
Haha yes, bleached and cut down a little. I enjoy using things that most folks would just toss.
can u use coconut fiber to incubate the eggs?
It has been done yes, but it dries up quickly and when dry can pull moisture from the eggs and dent them fast. Vermiculite and Perlite seem to work the best. Both can be found at your local hardware or gardening store. :)
Why did you keep saying female incubator, is it just because it is set for the female temperature or is it specifically meant for females?

crizzy craz Substrate for the geckos? I personally wouldn't to avoid compaction.
