Hey Ryan! I went to St. Mike's with y'all (I graduated in '98 with Mike)! I'm really enjoying watching your videos - it's awesome to see you all "grown up" now :) I hope you're able to continue to follow your dreams and make people happy as much as possible - you're very good at it! Take care!!💜
Aloha Ryan! I worked at American Apparel with you many years ago. We weren't really friends, but I'd see you around at parties. Those were also some dark and angry days for me. My mom died when I was 22, and I moved to San Diego shortly after that. You can imagine the chemical dependencies I carried. I've been sober for a number of years now :) I appreciate you sharing your story. Once we realize that, despite our uniqueness, we are not separate from one another the true healing can begin.
Aloha! I remember you! I didn’t realize you were going through all of that back then. If we shared our secrets and suffering back then, I’m certain we would have been close! I completely agree with you, we’re all more similar than we are different and that alone heals a lot of the wounds. Congratulations on staying sober! 💪
@@RyanJamesDuffy We humans can be pretty narrowly sighted! Isn't it wonderful when our vision can grow beyond ourselves? Like you have stated, I am grateful for my journey. Walking away from alcohol was an easy decision for me. One day I decided I had enough, and that was that. The challenges come while sorting through everything I used alcohol and drugs to run away from, but I am grateful for those challenges too.
