Thanks for so many new ideas for envelopes. We get so much junk mail, it’ll be fun to use it rather than trashing it. The flap ideas sir sewing the envelopes into the signature is so perfect. And thanks for the example of cutting the window in the page. It beats tracing paper. Hugs
Thank heavens we get junk mail...what an excellent paper source for ephemera. All the envelopes turned out beautifully.🥰❤️ hope the illness at Lulu’s school is NOT the unmentionable!🙏❤️
Thanks so much, I really look forward to viewing your videos. So lovely and creative Rachel ⭐️ I’m keen to start making a Christmas journal and your ideas are fantastic. Between you and Gayle I’m spoilt for choice woohoo!
I received the most beautiful, rich, lovely Christmas papers from your Etsy today. They are so pretty and I love how they feel. I may hoard them for awhile! Thank you so much for sharing such treasures. ❤️❤️
New plan -- if I knew how, I'd cancel previous comment. I didn't feel like looking for the stylist, so I get these size envelopes in the mail all the time, I just popped the cellophane out of one of the windows and drew around it and made a template -- your method works just fine, too !!
love your envelopes Rachel. If i cover a window envelope, before gluing the envelope back together, i hold the envelope against the window with the paper to cover it on top and trace the window (if that makes sense) xx
I ordered & received my Italian Florentine & Christmas paper from Rachel & it is even yummier in person!! I want to hoard it but should make journals with it 😊 Maybe I’ll hoard it for just a bit 😆
Thank you, the window envelopes we get her in England are generally A5 in shape and size, we don’t get those longer thinner ones you seem to get in Italy. I’ll have to adapt your ideas. Fingers crossed on the illness at Lulu’s school.
Really cute pages Rachel! But I'm over here thinking it would also be so cool to keep the already red postal stampings on these envelope pages, right? Since they're Italian and beautiful as welk, and would fit in any Christmas journal! Just a thought. 😊
They are lovely so I tore some of them off and glued them on top. You could do that tear them off and just patch some paper over where the hole is and put the stamped bit on top. I might do that! Thank you so much!
Near the end at about 48:01, where you're trying to outline the window on the exterior envelope -- I have that same issue, but as you were doing it, it occurred to me -- I have one somewhere around here -- do you have a stylist, I think they're called -- the tool that has a ball on the bottom -- you could easily use that to go around the window interior and not rip the paper. Just a suggestion -- your Christmas paper is lovely.
good lord ! I'm at about 7:15 -- we have a relatively small "international" airport here in Richmond -- what that means is: catch a smaller jet and change to the big ones in either Atlanta, Chicago or NYC -- but the sound of that jet was huge -- do you have the big big jets flying near where you live? I adore airplanes. Before our president went to London last fall, I think -- pre-YKW -- they were flying the big military transports with him to carry over the bullet-proof cars and Melania's wardrobe suitcases -- if I looked like that and could afford it, I'd be waring them, too, and they used our city to practice flying over because it was similar in area, or something, to London. It's the huge huge Galaxy plane -- I didn't know they were doing that, for some reason, I was not notified or on the presidential "need to know" list -- go figure -- but that plane was so big, it was flying really low, it had just taken off, and it was longer than the parking lot -- or car park to the UK folks-- from the road to the shopping center stores -- which is huge. It was an absolute thrill. Before YKW, we hosted Nascar, and at every nascar race, they have military planes fly over, and we've seen some beauties -- vintage bombers, vintage bi-planes in formation -- just thrilling -- you lead such an amazing life. How did the Divine Miss L like her new jammies? I love getting new pj's -- and big airplanes and your lovely videos making lovely Christmas goodies -- you lead a charmed life, dear girl -- : )
She loves her new pjs and even wanted to wear them out! We only have a small airport here with little or no flights. Our nearest big airport is Bologna.
@@roxycreations679 That Lulu is a keeper., and not alone in wearing them out -- before covid, when the weather turns, I'll wear my pjs -- why change? -- the bus stop is literally across the street, and it's a 5-minute ride to the grocery store, so I needed something, went to the store, was waiting on the bench at the bus stop to pick me back up and looked down and realized I still had on my pj pants, I had just changed my shirt -- ha
Quick question for you: Have you always been this carefree with your crafting where little things don’t matter (e.g., slightly crooked edges, the little bit on the envelope flap your paper didn’t cover completely, etc.)? Is it the artist in you or does it happen over time? I ask because as a novice, I am so regimented, and treat everything like it needs to be perfect. It takes some of the fun & creativity out of crafting, but I just don’t know how to relax with it all. I am my own worst critic, I’m afraid. 😪
I love when you collage window envelopes. Thanks for sharing🌴😍
Thank you so much!

Oh great idea! I'll give that a try! Thank you so much!
I just love to watch you cut😂. For some reason I can't cut a straight line to save my life, but I also can't fussy cut 😕
Thank you so much!
Love these!! Tfs 💞
Thank you so much!
I swear your collaged envelopes look so much better than mine. Those are lovely!
Thank you so much!
I ordered & received my Italian Florentine & Christmas paper from Rachel & it is even yummier in person!! I want to hoard it but should make journals with it 😊 Maybe I’ll hoard it for just a bit 😆
You could make something for yourself so you don't feel like you need to hoard it! I hope you enjoy them! Thank you so much!
Loved that you did these today. Been ages since I did a window envelope. Tfs Rachel. Hugs xx
Thank you so much!

You could trim them a little to get them to size and then glue shut. Thank you so much!
Hello Rachel, the pattern of the red is my favorite. Is it in your shop and I’m not seeing it, hugs🤗
They are the Christmas back ground papers. Thank you so much!

I do i jusy have to find where it is. great suggestion! Thank you so much!
Love these, thank you. Where can a get the large metal ruler?
Mine is Stamperia. I bought it at a craft store. I'm sure you could get one on Amazon or a craft store somewhere. Thank you so much!
I’m fine how are you. Is that thunder. I know it’s the kids upstairs roller skating. 🥴
Probably the child!!!

You have been practicing tearing tiny edges.
I have!

That's an interesting question. I think it came over time when I started slowstitching.
I sure hope the "you know what" isn't getting ready to start up again in the schools!!!!!!
I hope so too!
