Lin came out of no where and boosted ratings which the league would welcome as long as it doesnt degrade their brand, their main super stars' rep, or the overall goals of the nba. i think the league wants certain teams to win and to win in a certain way with certain players leading the way. Lin was good enough to stay in the league im sure but it seems he is not good enough to carry the story line of a team and not worth it to have him as a supporting cast if he is going to be waving off super stars.
