i've said it before and i'll say it again: when the test kitchen can go back to normal, (no pressure on that part!) please give sohla her own show where she can make really wild and creative versions of standard recipes. it would be super fun to watch and i'm sure she'd come up with INCREDIBLE stuff!

I have the feeling she was hired as a recipe tester and not as an on-camera talent. Its not in her contract to get paid for videos, she just weaseled her way into a bunch of them. She needs to wait to renew her contract.

Katie Hockley Someone on another video suggested that Sohla be given the opposite of “Gourmet Makes” where she is tasked to make something pedestrian and normal, but take it to the furthest limits and still be true to the original, and then have everyone try to guess before they taste it what it is.

Anyone remember in the video It’s alive with Claire where she makes crepe suzette and at one point she needed vanilla ice cream and so we got a glimpse of the inside of the freezer. Lo and behold there was an ungodly amount of choco tacos.

Maybe because of the lockdown, they need to stretch the raw material by including some shoot that normally left out. Hence its split into two part and not necessarily because the challenge is harder than any other challenge.

It's just BA artificially lengthening the content and cashing in on a twofer. They probably approached Claire and were like "Okay these need to be longer so we can get double monetization money."
