Just like how Polo is the only car that still looks not outdated even though it is, Elevate will be that Polo in Suv.
Good point!
Well said bro.
Damn! On point.
Polo looks super outdated
Your "opinion" cannot be considered as "norm". Looks are subjective.

In my books this is a sure shot HIT
Turbo would have been amazing
Our family just got one; aging parents are loving ❤ it
How does the cabin noise feel to you?
Simply a no nonsense car. A mature product 👍🏼
Its important for the people to understand if you are spending 15+ lakhs for a car. Atleast it should give good build quality, decent driving experiencen and high speed stability. Unnecessary features and show offs like moon roof will not help you during accidents. I think if a car can't save you at 64kmph, thats the normal tests at GNCAP if i am not wrong. What will happen at 100kmph. People should realize, same car manufactures provide solid build quality to the west countries. Its obvious, i am talking about korean brothers here 😊
Mostly all cars save u at 64 km /speed at specific impact..have u not seen any accidents in real life or just watching crash test video in closed door
@@nkj9683 "Mostly all cars save you at 64kmph". Do you crash your car and test? Or should i ask do you buy new cars to test? I trust GNCAP. If you don't, upto you. Not here to argue.
Very well debated. The Elevate is well engineered product that brings loads of practicality, sensibility into the overall package. One of the reasons I was disappointed with the Taigun (apart from the AC & power window niggles) is the somewhat low seating position. Honda can be trusted and seems to have got the basics thoroughly sorted.
11-16 lakh ex-showroom would be perfect but 12-17 will drop the numbers like anything , u cant justify premium with current offering
Agreed. To start with 10.50-15.50 would be "EXCELLENT" to grab a big share of the market also as rough On Road costs will take it to 13.50-18.50. Increase the prices later with Added & Upgraded options. Maruti tried the silly stunt on the Jimny and lost thousands of Sales.
I agree with you ...
Does a ₹1 lakh price difference really make that much of a difference? The Honda City’s lower variants are decently equipped and priced but Honda says the lion’s share of sales come from the top-end models. ₹1 lakh is a big difference in cash, but makes a negligible difference in EMIs
@@zigwheels Mid size SUV segment competition, offerings, numbers & buyer range is totally different than Sedan , if u analyze then see lower & mid variants r scoring higher volume in Mid size SUV’s
@@zigwheels yes , one lakh plays a major role here , with elevate sales count .
Because, people who choose sub four meter SUVs top end for it's cost, will think about elevate comfort and reliability.
Eg: Chennai on road Sonet/Venue top end costing 17-17.5 lac
People who wanna go mid size SUVs mid variant in the same price range they'll top end of elevate.
Think about future , upcoming Citroen C3 aircross..they'll try to offer less than what elevate prices/may be the same..
This will healthy competition..
Honda should give .
Ventilated seats big miss.. it's better they provide hybrid instead of Adas ..price top model should be 16 lac maximum..not more than
I love this type of review. Its like tapri pe chai pe charcha. 2 yaar saath pe baith ke mast compare kar rhe hai. and all of us audience just hanging around and buying ciggs and listening. Feels more comfortable.
Hahaha, thanks for vibing with us ❤️
Honda has done almost everything right with the launch of Elevate except some important and actual useful features like Ventilated seats and 360°camera which might be a deal breaker for some buyers. If Honda somehow manage to bring these two features then this Car is surely going to be a Hit in market.
Add rear defogger.
Loved this discussion video! Enables the reviewer to cover the content in more depth. I wouldn't mind this trend continuing. Cheers!
No way people will pay 20 for the top model, 16 ex showroom for ZX CVT is what people are expecting. No USP to pay premium over others.
Ok, won't take names here, but this is just pure info that a potential buyer would want to know. 30 mins of this content and they have made up their mind.
Great work
Loved this discussion. Very creative approach. Although, a part of me wanted both of you around/ inside the car, you managed to get away with it. I see no reason to complain either. Thank you!
Hey guys. Let me tell you that your review was very well put. Usually what we see among many review or reveal videos is only the positive points, and even then, a lot of important information is left out. I am glad you touched on relevant talking points. Hoping to see even more brutal reviews in future. More brutal, the better. Many a times, manufacturers get away with producing substandard vehicles just because the initial reviews do not showcase any faults. Good job zigwheels!
Detailed, including each and every part of the vehicle with comparison. I am highly impressed with your eye to details... SUPERB.. I became fan of your coverage.... kudos to you guys...
Thanks a lot!
As an owner of city and ciaz both, i would go with the semi digital cluster of ciaz. The digital cluster of city is definitely more modern but the one in ciaz gives a ton of information at once. The screen in the middle is useless in honda city
Review is good. But would like to know more about the build quality of this car. As seen in many videos, The bonnet and side are not heavy as it’s rivals and it absorbs. Not sure whether is specifically designed like that. How does it feel inside and out? Is it heavy and built strong?
Excellent analysis
I work on ADAS features for NA OEM you guys are no nonsense
I can say
Thanks for the analysis btw I own jazz which is simply super reliable car I will cross 1 lakh kms in 5 thousand KNS and I have not seen the car stopped at any time and I drive like crazy 1000 KNS in one day stressing the car and pushing it to the limits
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Which variant will be better to consider ?
Thank you for the detailed analysis. I would pay around 17 for the top end given the 1.5 NA engine and few bits missing here and there.
Wonderfully narrated ! Great job guys.
Thank you!!
Great conversation. Love this format.
Sir how is the NVH levels in this car and how is the front wiper? Is it outdated
Someone who is planning to buy Venue DCT top model, should they consider buying Mid variant CVT of Elevate?
This is such a comprehensive conversation, it goes into the right kind of nooks and cranies I'd want a car review/conversation to go into, thanks
That’s what we were hoping to deliver with this discussion. Glad you liked it 🙏
@@zigwheels You still were late by a good margin
Creta Adventure edition MT or Elevate ZX mt which one to consider?
Would it be something for people on the hills to consider as well ?
Elevate VX CVT vs Creta SX IVT
Which one for city usage?
Have been waiting to hear you guys on this. Amazing analysis as always. I feel 19 -20 lacs on road for the top model should be a favourable price point (i thought would want it to be cheaper), beyond that Elevate will struggle to sell. Heard the bookings crossed 4k and waiting has shot up to 4 months.
Unpopular opinion:- elevate is no bullshit car. It doesn't have loads of features but it has great engine, quality, Japanese engineer and many more which you won't get in any other car in this segment. All other cars are trying to scream we have this we have that. And in other side elevate is like we give you no bullshit and simplicity like pure Japanese style and will last for generations
Still won't sell more than 3000..people wants mileage out, wants performance out, top end model buying people spending 20 lakhs want more luxurious features like panaromic sunroof, ventilated seats, 360 camera, electric adj seats out..so more than 50% people out right now competition for only rest 50% people
It looks BIG from the front. And smart.
Adas would only be offered on the top model for now ,it would be spread across variants after the face-lift
That is not a good idea Honda. Getting an older ver of ADAS aft 2 years and when the car is old, does not make sense.
Buyers will ditch the Elevate.. my take.
Already adas is not that useful..must be radar based also
Adas is useless on indian roads, in all cars and SUVs. The adas on verna veered me towards a cow when I veered over the lane without giving turn signal.
Imho Honda should keep adas as an option in a new variebt, but give 6 airbags in all varients. That makes much more sense.
This is the best video, the level of detail was amazing...
Thank you 🙏 ❤️
sir ride quality kiski jada atsi ha honda city or elevate
One RS edition should be there, with 1.5 vtec turbo having additional features and colours like black and matte grey
In terms of placement, the ZX CVT will compare to the Seltos HTX IVT and the Alpha AT of Grand Vitara. Prima facie looking at the feature comparison, Elevate doesn’t seem to miss out. Well of course discounting the panoramic sunroof.
Makes sense!
Super video. So apt. For me for sure as I am planning elevate. Just literally got A to Z of it !!! Respect 🫡 to both
I loved the detailing of ADAS features !! i never know there are both ways of ADAS with camera and RADAR!! i thought ADAS is same irrespective of camera/RADAR!!
It’s all new tech, we’ll learn together 💪🏻
Brilliant review . Anyday I will certainly choose elevate cvt over seltos ivt
Thank you 🙏
Same
Wonderful narration.
Elevate CVT will be my pick over Seltos/ Creta IVTs. Only if one wants a turbo/ DCT, then the latter two make sense.
Agreed
Great conversation and analysis, enjoyed it.
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Dis channel from top to ....
I love the design on this , finally it has that Global Honda DNA , which were absent in most previous INDIA SPECIFIC models
Unbiased crisp attention to details threadbare. Well done ZigWheels
Thank you 🙏
Bold &Stylish design.More over 1.5 ivtec Rev happy reliable engine 🚗
Is it a good idea for me to buy hyrider e or s varient and then modify it later....
We will wait for the prices to give that opinion!
Elevate is my first choice but i would be more happy with electric hand break . manual HB spoils the center console
How is the sound insulation in cabin
I wish they would have included following add ons keeping Indian road conditions into consideration:-
1. Ventilated seats
2. Type C at rear
3. Radar based ADAS
4. Tyre pressure monitoring
5. A bot more refined dashboard
Otherwise seems to be a no nonsense car
Honda has a hard fight if pricing is not right because it's not nothing great and exciting. But definitely reliable space and ground clearance
For someone who owns a Taigun GT manual, who love the design and the stance of the elevate, whould he regret driving the IVTECH over the TSI?
I dont go fast all the time but when I need some I should have some. Please share your experience. Thanks!
That’s a complicated one to answer. The Elevate will meet most of your commuting requirements but when you want that punch, you have to push it high up in the rev range, which you wouldn’t with the 1 TSI.
It’s simply a question of how much weightage you’d give to those times the TSI makes you smile
@@zigwheels thank you for your answer.
« Having a gun doesn’t lead to using it at any moment but if it comes to shoot to defend, it should be locked and loaded »
The elevate is such a package that visually intensely appeals to my enthusiast heart. But i despise the idea of demanding for performance. It should be effortless and accessible. What a shame 🤕.
I still need to test drive the elevate🤧. The price would most likely be the deciding factor at the end as in I can surrender my random drag racing tendencies if and only if it justifies the elevate’s performance.
But can any drag racer abandon drag racing?
Food for thought…
Kya Honda ki sale improve hogi ?
In hot mid size SUV segment, If you want a quality, safe and best handling car you can go Honda elevate, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
Most of any car variant that sells is mid or lower variants which anyway doesn't have those missing features in other car as well
That is the territory Honda would be wise to target and offer better value in
Smart choice smart content❤
Thank you 🙏
Unlike Maruti, Hyundai and many others Honda IVTEC always delivers more mileage than ARAI figures. I used to get 20-21 kmpl on my Amaze Petrol 2019 model with company claiming only 19 kmpl. Honda IVTEC is the best petrol engine👍
Sweet discussion between you two. Do you think cvt would be fine for highway overtaking when fully loaded . Whats your take on real mileage figures for cvt in both city and highway @100 kmph speed.
Thank you. As for your question, highway overtakes with load will see you pushing this engine hard. 12-15kmpl (city/highway) is possible but that’s without a full load
@@zigwheels Thanks
I have honda city cvt ..with paddle shifter ..you can always downshift and get more instant power. Also its a fun to use peddle shifter at times to feel more involved 😊 ..mileage 11/15 city/highway i am getting with little aggresive driving
@@tyagiabhi01 Thanks. I could relate it. With Elevate it wouldn't be that quick or smooth as in the case of City due to added weight 100 kgs plus the form.
I guess in real life FE for Elevate should be 9 to 10 in City and 14 to 15 on Highways with that more hard acceleration required for over taking.
Does the touch screen hamper a short driver’s view on the left?
Shouldn’t be the case since short drivers would need to set the seat height higher by default
I am an Amaze user wanting to upgrade to Elevate. But it offers all facilities in top end version only. ADAS 2, is in top end only. Not worth the buy despite so many paid promoters on the net. Better options are available at much reasonable price. Better wait a year or two to know the 'actual user' experience
Great discussion.
So does it drive better than the other naturally aspirated competitors, especially Seltos? Which of the 2 would be a better pick overall? Currently looking for a car in this segment, so suggestion will be really helpful :)
We’ll have to run a back to back comparison to pick out the finer differences but the driveability isn’t significantly better than the Seltos or Grand Vitara NA 1.5.
The Seltos/Creta 1.5 manual is actually easier to drive vs the Elevate owing to the easier clutch operation especially in city traffic
@@zigwheels oh ok. Great. Thanks for the response 🙂
@@zigwheels Also, is it the same case with automatic?
The na engines if u want then creta/seltos is king in its segment, its fun to drive in highways... Japanese brands suzuki honda are good for city drive
Elevate does not have a mid range grunt. You have to rev the engine above 5k Rpm to overtake or maybe even downshift to get to higher rpms.
Having said that, creta above elevate, and elevate above seltos. Seltos has a suspension that does not feel optimally tuned. Seltos is more bells and wistles and less drive quality. Plus it tries too hard on the looks front, almost shouting for attention. And creta needs a design update
@ZigWheels, will India get Honda HR-V soon?
No official confirmation for any plans to launch the HR-V, yet
Ventilated seats, interior LED lighting, rain sensing wipers (ok that's not really essential) were the miss. Maybe a bit more rubber in the suspension for slow speed dampening. But look, no stupid sloping roofline. Lots of headroom at back. This car does the essentials right. But only if the government gets some sense and lowers tax on hybrid cars will we get the hybrid.
Getting MotorInc vibes here.. bring it on. Please keep this format running 🙏
Glad you liked it. We’ve done videos in this format over 3-4 years ago, but comparisons to MotorInc will be taken as a compliment ❤️
Two people sat and talked about a car and suddenly it became MotorInc. . . really
@@zigwheels Feels like podcast now..wait a minute. That's a good idea 😃
nice review, Dont mind MotoInc kind of review.
Thank you
People want features, looks but i use honda jazz. Its a no no nonsense car. Japanese are known for their engineering. For human heart is important and for car engine is important. Always we need to go by engine not by external features
Class is the correct word for u guys 💚
🙏🙏🙏
Can you pls compare city 2023 MT vs elevate MT ..in terms of driving dynamics, ride comfort, body roll , suspension and overall feel in cabin for all 4 passengers along with driver..Pls..
IMO City is still the more premium Honda car. Except Ground clearance, City should be ahead of Elevate in all parameters and it is the more established global model as well
@@thameemulansari7247 Thanks and truly agreed as i am owning city 4th gen currently..but my concern about illogically build speed breakers in my area due to which it touches sometimes from below..so want to ensure does elevate can give that pleasure of city.
Ride comfort: Elevate ✅
Body roll control: City ✅
Driving dynamics: Close, but City ✅
@@zigwheels thanks Zigwheels.
I have 2 questions:
1. Which has more comfortable seats, Grand Vitara, or Elevate? Please answer for both front and rear seats.
2. Which has better drivability, elevate cvt, or Grand Vitara strong hybrid?
Seats Are More Comfy In Elevate But Ride Quality Of Grand Vitara Is Better
GV ride is better than Innova
@@softsaravanacseDint know the ride is so good in Gv need to check
@@saisagartata9464GV is great at front seats . Back seat may be issue for some due to slopping roof
Seat comfort front row: I found it better in the GV
Rear row: Elevate’s feels better, feels roomier too
Driveability: The electric torque assist of the GV hybrid makes it better
- Tushar
Max 16L on road for zx cvt, difficult to justify above that
Honda Elevate competition:-
1. Hyundai Creta 1.5 Petrol only
2. Kia Seltos 1.5 Petrol only
3. Maruti Grand Vitara Non Hybrid
4. Toyota Hyryder Non Hybrid
5. MG Aster 1.5 NA Petrol only
6. Skoda Kushaq 1.0 only
7. VW Taigun 1.0 only
Righto!
I own Elevate top end automatic model. After 2000Km I am facing pain in my left leg whenever I drive the car. I tried all possible adjustments but no relief. Some are saying because of poor thigh support. But if that is the case then pain should be in both legs. Anyone Elevate owner facing same problem. Can anybody help me why it is happening?
land cruiser lc250 has same ground clearance
very fair review
Thank you 🙏
But @Tushar pls before such analysis which is good btw after few days of handson just do a solo review immediately on launch..so that I can watch you alongsideAutocar
Hey, the reason why we opted for this in depth discussion is because we didn’t get time to shoot a proper review from the first drive.
Anything shot haphazardly for the sake of just putting something up, is not worth your time. You deserve better than us just reciting what’s in the brochure - Tushar
Are you guys talking about the car’s reliability, quality, easy to use, comfort etc only coz the car has nothing much to talk about due to its lack of features and exciting powertrain? Not that the quality of interiors and comfort are any lesser in something like a KIA Seltos.
ADAS makes a good differentiating factor in a crowded space
Have you used it? On indian roads its a pain in the ass. Its intrusive and not always right.
Motorinc's model of podcast works
Zigwheels seems to be late for all the videos, even the Citroen C3 air cross video is released by all major reviewers, is this a deliberate delay.
Partly, yes. Publications are bound by embargoes so everyone publishes their content at the same time, so we fear it may come across as spamming at times.
With the C3 Aircross, there were limitations similar to what we faced at the Honda Elevate drive but there is a video that will be going up soon. And it’s detailed!
It has the best NA engine in whole segment.
If they could do something with that huge ass grille , atleast could have made it angular like 2022 H-RV
Do we expect any 7seater Honda car soon?
No official word on anything of the sort so far
The only varient of seltos that would trump elevate is 1.5 turbo petrol with MT. And they dont offer it!
Seltos offers imt which has a mind of its own. I hated it and dropped seltos as an option due to lack of MT varient in turbo engine options.
Request for Mr.Tushar to review in English...Lot f ur Fans r waiting man
Very sound conversation.
🙏 thank you
Which color will be more appealing in long run? Does honda not make cars in black color
No, they don't make black cars anymore!
First half of question not replied
@@pankaj8709Silver. Even after 10 years with decent maintenance it will be looking great
Does the Elevate not have AWD or 4x4?
Nope, front wheel drive only
Why Ventilated seats ,blind spot monitor , hybrid system was missing is a big question even for Honda loyalists . Unless they about to enter 10L to 15L segment ?
Think of it like how the Maruti Ciaz competes with the new Verna, VW Virtus, Skoda Slavia. Similar in size, but not as tech loaded. Of course, the price is key to that perspective
@@zigwheels Honda is reliable and they fail to take this message to masses plus omission of features that kids wants to show off discuss with their family and friends unless you are an owner you will never know how complicated it is to keep things so simple that can run car for 20 years ! Honda gives damn 10 years warranty ..7 out of 10 cars built by Honda since the company started are still running !! The marketing guy and the guy who finalize features on their cars in india must meet once in a week if Honda wants to succeed . legendary Honda in India being bashed and get compared to kiddo Kia and people tell Kia is better .Shame really shame this is not pinching Honda india management . FYI i own a honda brv .
I just like every coat pent I wear in branded showroom trials only to reject then once I come to know the price, price matters and changes opinions
Haha, well put
U look at the brand also . Honda and Toyota are two topmost brands
It can really compete with creta only if it can get 5 star in gncap
Should I buy elevate or hyrider??
Wait for the prices to be announced.
Same confusion
They should have scrapped the BEV plans and just localised the e:HEV powertrain. That would have justified 22-23L on road for a fully loaded, hybrid Elevate. Honda's just being dumb. Shame though, it looks like an improved version of the Hyryder/Vitara for sensible people and in terms of quality.
I don't think Elevate will work out when we consider how good Grand Vitara is. Honda should have give a hybrid so that mileage is at least like Grand Vitara stong hybrid.
The Grand Vitara is a very competent car but vs the Elevate, many standout features are available only with the hybrid models (ventilated seats, HUD, wireless charger)
The Grand Vitara does have a panoramic sunroof and 360-degree camera but doesn’t offer ADAS. The GV’s digital cluster is again, only with the hybrid.
The Elevate doesn’t offer a hybrid yes, but the hybrid in itself sits at a higher price point
A hybrid engine would have made the car noticeable. It's not at all noticeable now. I would rank Kushaq over this. It will fade off like Taigun is fading off.
The hybrid would’ve been a HUGE selling point but Honda has opted to skip it and offer an Elevate EV in 3 years time.
The Taigun and Kushaq are selling at roughly the same levels of 1700-2500 units a month
@@zigwheels Thanks for fact checking on sales of Taigun. I wasnt aware.
20 lacon road for top variant seems to much. Seltos ivt I think is close to 20 lac on road. Panaromic Sunroof, radar based adas with rear traffic alerts, 360 camera with blind spot detection, powered driver seats, ventilated front seats, electronic parking brake with auto hold, rear charging c point, rear window sunshade, twin 10.25 inch display, digital instrument cluster, Bose premium sound system, better camera clarity, Rear 3 point seat belt, 3 adjustable headreats for rear, 18 inch alloys. it's so much shaayad kuch bhul b jaaye likhna. Fit nd finish and looks are too notch on seltos. How will Honda b able to beat that with 20lac on road pricing. It should be max 18-18.5 lacs in road. This is just my thought. Today's there are big chunk of customers who want desirable features over and above required features.
All windows one touch up down, ambient lighting few other misc add ons.
The top-spec Seltos IVT is the HTX. That is ₹16.59 lakh, ex showroom. So approximately ₹18.5 lakh on road.
Most of the features you mentioned are available HTX+ onwards.
On the HTX there’s no ADAS, no 360° cam, no powered driver’s seat, no seat ventilation, no electric parking brake, no 10.25” digital instrument cluster, no Bose sound system.
It does have a pano sunroof. 17” alloys on the HTX and not 18”.
The cheapest Seltos automatic you can get with these features is the HTX+ that’s now available with the 1.5 Turbo. That is ₹19.19 lakh ex-showroom, translating to nearly ₹21 lakh on road.
So there is a sweet spot to explore for Honda.
@@zigwheels ok that means ivt does not have these features. These features are available only for turbo variant in htx+ but still I think if Honda does 20 lac on road many people would think ki 21 na around spend karege to ye sab features k saath turbo engine mil jaayega with more power as compared to this. Thanks anyway for updating. I know Honda has his own fan following not matter what they will be buying Honda. But I am just thinking from point of view of customers that are open to anything nd not mind paying for power and features.
Elevate will be a runaway hit!
*if they price it appropriately
Manual only in the base variant ? Like a reverse of the BRV, where the CVT was only available in the second last variant. 🙄
I don't understand why these guys can't offer the options for the customer at least. Honda just cares about the City, everything else is an afterthought. The new WRV that's being sold in other SE Asian markets would have been a sure hit here. The NX7, I.e the updated BRV ? They released such a lackluster product the first time with the BRV, they decided the market would not accept it. All their failed cars, they make stupid decisions and then say the Indian market is not ready for it.
Not manual only in the base variant, the base variant is expected to only get a manual transmission option. The others should get both, manual and CVT
On road should start from 13 to 17 lakh, that's it.
I agree with your price point
You should become advertisement company rather than reviewing cars
You should learn to keep shut rather than comment online.
