I love how you take your time to check everything. Make sure of your diagnosis and note other items in need of attention. Thats a skill that should be recognized. Taking pride in one's work should be the norm.....unfortunately it isn't. Thankfully where i work....they preach and give you the time to do it right. Great video as always Ryan
Thanks for the video Ryan! Will be hooking up a phase monitor in the next couple of weeks on a York and wasn’t sure how it would connect. Never hooked up one before.
If you don’t wire in the 24v and set it to control mode the device will only monitor and will not open the contact to shut the unit off, found this out after I installed one and didn’t wire in the 24v
From what I understand, the control voltage will come from another source of anomaly and not from the transformer. It opens the contact 1&2 if an outside anomaly happens that is not related to line voltage anomaly.

Nice video. What is the purpose of wiring the 24v from the transformer to the phase monitor? The manual says "optional"

And why does the unit NOW need a phase monitor....
Because we suggested one and the customer wanted it.

I really can’t stand not using oem parts
