    Your explanation is very simple and clear but I have a small question.... Why you have tunned all PID parameter with GA? In the base case you used only Integral controller. So the comparison between the two approach is not balanced.

      Thanks for the compliments. I am highly thankful for pointing out this issue. You are right. I unintentionally forgot to included the pid controller in the conventional model. Basically my aim was to optimize the parameters of PID controller. However, you can add PID controller in the conventional model too. But again the optimized PID controller response will be much better due to the optimization using genetic algorithm.

    Dr why did you put kk in the PID values not the real numbers? So for this model what is the best value for the PID values please can you answer me. Thanks

      Wa'alaikum salam, Thanks for the comment. To know the best value for P, I, and D, we have used kk as vairable in the block. genetic algorithm will change the different values to get the best results. once, the simulation is completed, you may see the value of kk in the workspace section. double click on the kk variable, it will show three values, one for P, other for I and last for D.

    Sir there is an error occuring while running about input parameters how can i rectify this. I got the error running optimization ,undefined function 'tunning' for input arguments of type 'double'.

    sir how to change the switching frequency of a mosfet in matlab simulink.. i want to change the switching frequency of a mosfet in a rectifier circuit and find the harmonic level. kinldy please help me

      Thanks for the comment. Due to language barrier, it is quite difficult for me to fully understand your message. I have made the basic videos for AGC to give you the idea of research. now, you may upgrade or enhance these models by adding the new power plants through their transfer functions taken from research papers.

      Thanks for the comment. For load flow, first watch admittance matrix video. Then watch load flow analysis using gauss Seidel, Newton raphson video.

    Salam Dear sir, Thank you so much for such a great and fruitful videos. I am writing to ask that Is it possible to apply PSO or GA to optimize the parameters of ADRC controller. I am trying to optimize parameters of ADRC by using PSO or GA as you taught in your lectures but every time I am getting the same error" Derivative of state '3' in block 'Adrc_lfc/subsystem/LESO' at time 33.540163 is not finite. The simulation will be stopped. Please guide me how to solve this issue. Thanks

      Thanks for the compliments and comment. I am not sure. It should work. Sometimes due to matlab version, it creates errors. My model is designed in MATLAB 2017a version
