    I think what a lot of lovely women forget to understand is you do not attract bad men you attract all men and it is up to YOU to decide who you want to entertain and keep around.

    from my observation and not generalizing I feel like a lot of us young women want romance and not love. To top it off social media has given us this materialistic (high consumption) image of romance that with the cost of living a lot of young men who are actually the preference can't afford. I love how Breeny lays emphasis on the healing and confidence and setting of standards from within because when a perfect couple match with that they rise to the top. Just my two cents.

    I disagree - how you are treated is not a reflection of you, its a reflection of the other person. You can do everything for someone, if they don't want to treat you a certain way, they won't.

    • @Irene-ls5wf
      @Irene-ls5wf Рік тому +116

      Then the followup to that is, why are you doing everything for someone who is mistreating you? Why not walk away? As the old saying goes, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

      @@Irene-ls5wf i dont think they’re saying they’d stay after doing everything, I think it just that you aren’t always responsible for the way people treat you initially

    • @yo-a
      @yo-a Рік тому +14

      @@Irene-ls5wf firstly, its an illustration. Secondly, I am not saying do everything for someone who is mistreating you.
      I am saying someone could be doing everything, and they could still be mistreated.
      Therefore, that mistreatment is a reflection of the person doing the mistreating, and not to Breeny's point, the fault of the person who is just being a good person.
      Breeny's point implies that we can control how people treat us. We can't. We can, however, try and control how we respond, for example and to your point, by walking away.

    • @yo-a
      @yo-a Рік тому +8

      @@nelledgtl exactly Nelle, but I would go further to say, you are not responsible for the way people treat you full stop. Minus the 'always' and 'initially'. You can however be responsible for how you respond and react.

    Stop demanding pls, if you have to ask for it might not be the right one.

    I understand Breenys perpective on the “city girl” topic because it’s very objective.
    Unfortunately the reality has made women want guarantee more than love because we’re in a time where doctors are talking to sick women about the high possibility of their husbands leaving them and where cheating on women has gone beyond normalized.
    Women are allowed to objectify the same society that has objectified them even in sickness and near death situations such as giving birth and pregnancies in general, not even then are they seen as humans.

Huh how do we even fit ?😂 it’s not my fault that someone wanted to try their luck with a pretty girl like me… I think it would be on me if I let him in my life and kept him in it but for him to be attracted is not really anything to do with me. My husband still opens every door 11 years after opening my door the first time. I'm also a lot older than the majority of watchers so I dated men & married a man within my generation (Millennial). Prior to my husband, I always encountered and dated gentleman who opened doors & paid for dates. I don't understand those who don't do the same.

    A lot of what she said I 100% agree. A lot of us women get excited with the gifts, the top Michelin star restaurants, that we get so wow’ed by the treatment and later down the line realise we’re dating a guy that personally/relationally we don’t actually like their character. Don’t get tricked ladies. Not saying don’t go for the lavish dates but open your eyes when dating and be AWARE of what you like and actually really get to know the person sitting across the table from you.

However, I think when a woman has children the 50/50 thing is unfair. A woman brings so much more to the relationship at that point then the man unless you have a man that can cook, and clean but still he can’t give birth. I disagree - this is reflected in non romantic relationships such as the work place. You are not always treated because of how you present yourself. Ask most female professionals, you have to demand respect and that’s why laws were introduced in the workplace to make sure that people treat you with respect. You can’t control other people’s behaviour you can only control yourself. Other people’s treatment of you is not a reflection of who you are and don’t take it personally. In personal relationships you choose who you interact with so choose wisely.

    Timothy 5:8, “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever"
    Having your man provide for you is not prostituting it Biblical it's scriptural. Even in other Holy books men are to be providers. Let's let me be men and he responsible. We can't just be saying stuff just for content making sake because it has impact on people's real life. Having an influence has to be more than just trending please because relationships are very important. Let's all be wise. God bless 🙏❤️

    I really like Breenys content but the problem I’m seeing with this episode is that her stance is saying “I am right, you are wrong” AND it’s really lacking personality and simple fun, which MadameJ’s show is all about.
    I really have loved watching Breeny but it doesn’t look like she’s able to just have fun, share HER experiences and just enjoy it without it being serious
