But what about the odometer? How will I keep track of my oil changes? Usually I just get the little sticker in the window, that shows what mileage my next oil change is supposed to be. Then I just check the odometer and see if I'm there yet. With these new gauges, you lose your ability to monitor your oil changes.
The black holder is from the factory gauge cluster. 73-80 usually are made of a metal. This one was from an 81-87 which are a plastic material which still work just fine. Once you cut out the raised areas in the factory tub like I show in the video then the black plastic or metal housing will sit back on the tabs and hold the gauges just fine. Only the 4 smaller gauge holes need to be opened maybe a 1/16" all the way around for the gauges to fit in perfectly. Hope this helps you and thank you for watching our videos. Doing mine in the metal one now with 2 1/16th dakota digital gauges and had to essentially remove the entire beveled part of the opening to fit them, I forgot the exact amount
Sure, the Tach and Speedo are both 4" and the smaller vital gauges are 2 1/16". They seem to be the perfect size for the squarebody bezels. Thanks for watching and especially for subscribing if you have. Please let use know if we can be of any more help.
The speedo you can get the adapter that will allow it to read your VSS or you can do what I always do and use the GPS and that way even if you change tires and wheels the speed is always correct. If you go through a tunnel it will drop the signal until you come out and it receives satellite signal again which happens almost instantly. In my squarebody's I installed the GPS puck in my defrost vent so it's out of sight and still gets signal.

How did you do your blinker
Dose a gps speedometer reed your exact speed and mileage you have driven
Yes unless you go through a tunnel then it reads 0 until you get out then it will read again.
