Why not mainstream big? She would have financial success for the rest of her lifetime? Wouldn't you want that for someone you enjoy listening to?
Alberto Romero i know it sounds weird to say i don't want her to make it mainstream big but its because once you hit mainstream big you tend to "sell out" and start to appeal to the masses. I used to love maroon five and now i can't stand their music. There are a lot of indie artists that are huge and still make music the way they used to. Don't get me wrong I'm not against change. If i follow her music and i notice her evolution and i like it then I'll stay or leave. Like sondre lerche. I followed him and noticed his change in style and i still love his music because in a way it still felt like him. It felt like the sondre music that related to me and in a way the music that sounded that came from him. It changed because he changed as a person. Just because you don't make it mainstream big doesn't mean you won't be a financial success. I mean does Katy Perry make a lot money yeah I'm sure she does but I'm sure mac de marco and sondre lerche make decent cash too
i doubt she'd change too much if she went mainstream. She's worked hard on her projects and with other Brooklyn artists. The mainstream would of have to find her so she'd keep some appeal. But as an artist you can't fault them to live out their potential and see what they can do . Let's enjoy the ride right now.
