Great bikes keep up on maintence and you will really enjoy it. These bikes in looks have aged extremely well compared to the japanese bikes of there time. Email me if you ever run into any issues.
@@TorrentPerformance Awesome, thank you, the one I've got my hands on is a 2001, but has only done 16000 kms and has been kept tight in a shed for the past 5 years, so, a sweet score I reckon and I will most definitely keep up with the maintenance :)
A lot of people seem to dislike the shape, mainly the front, headlights etc, but I love it, I like it more then the newer versions, though I want to source a cover for the pillion passenger seat, but that doesn't seem to hard to find, it's overall quite a large bike compared to the others I've owned, though I have no issues with it's size and kinda like it being a little larger.
You can never go by the odometer on those bikes as it reset on plenty of bikes due to battery issues im sure...i was looking at one with 3k on it after 20 years and i checked back on the old MOT/inspection and it had dropped 26k 2 years prior 😂😂
The battery reset is in the 2nd gen rsv1000r models. These first gen don't have the battery problems in the dash. However you are correct that it's hard to trust any sellers. This seller was very trustful and this bike came out of a motorcycle shop where most of it's life was in a glass case in the shop. Thanks for watching hope you sub.
Are these bikes reliable? Are there any known faults to it?
Tony these are one of the most reliable European bikes I've ever bought. The gen 2 have alot of major issues. If you come across one I would buy it and go threw my playlist and you will have no problems for maintence. Preventative maintence wi go a long way on these bikes.
@@TorrentPerformance Very much true. I have one Mille R '01 and a Tuono R '04 bought new. Zero problems up to today. The mille has 10k kms - trips and tracjdays - and the Tuono 34k kms - road trips around Europe. Love them both.
