Fun Fact: compered to greek and other neighboring cultures and religions, Romans hated human sacrifices and only (probable) shadow of it was left in Triumphs; where prisoners taken in war and presented in Triumph were killed in front of the Temple of Jupiter, Romans didn't see it as sacrifice, but it still looked like it.
Some random UA-cam channel doing a 20 videos series of Citadelum. Meanwhile Nivarias: *speedruns basically the whole game in one video* 😂 That's how you know you got a seasoned city-builder veteran talking to you through your monitor.
@@Nivarias I read the comments before watching. Waited a loooong time for the edit replacement. I didn't notice any comment when it happened. Perhaps that was cut out in editing too...
aureus, basic gold monetary unit of ancient Rome and the Roman world. It was first named nummus aureus (“gold money”), or denarius aureus, and was equal to 25 silver denarii; a denarius equaled 10 bronze asses. From Britannicia, category: Ancient Roman Money.
Build all the fields and he lets them lay in ruin for 75% of the game. His houses are screaming for food because of it. Let's ignore that. Fun watch as always keep up the great work.
If you follow his Anno 1800 series closely, you will know, that Nivarias always builds main roads in his cities. On very big islands like Crown Falls, these main roads can be up to 5 blocks wide and add to the city scenery pretty well. Which is especially important with Skyscrapers or any taller buildings that would otherwhise make a 1-tile road disappear. So indeed, it adds to the actual game play.
Enjoy
19:53 " otherwise buildings will inevitably collapse" while panning over a burning granary and farm hahaha, love the gameplay video! Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😅
it's like caesar 3. I still have it installed and play it now and then

30:38 It's Lupa! Underneath her are the twins: Romulus and Remus feeding on her. It's a very famous statue from the legend
Ceasar 3 pc game. Sierra studios had same concept of engineering and prefectures for building safety.
Great game!! Love the building aspects. Not so rue about killing people🤨 Enjoying watching it!🤩
Very interesting game, reminding me distantly of Caesar 3.
4 guys to keep 50 fields repaired. Hmm.

Keep burning that money building double and triple roads that add nothing to actual game play:)

It's his preference to build a main road, and it looks quite good to me
If only all your videos took this long to watch 🥲
