I am a great fan of Stratovarios and Eternity is one of my favorite songs ever, but unfortunatelly we cannot deny the fact that Timo is not performing like he used to...And about James Hetfield, I think that he is not worthy to mention at this high standards performing vocal level. Maybe Jeof Tate from Qüeenryche would...One of my favorites as well
James is good at what he does, Kotipelto is good at what he does. Yeah Kotipelto has better range but some people like the rough tone of Hatfield. Ofc I prefer Kotipelto but can't say he is necessarily better than James, only when it comes to high notes and vibrato Also I think Kotipelto nailed this song here, dunno what you meant that he is not performing like he used to here. Nowadays yeah, his voice is dry and lacks vibrato, he is basically just an average singer. But back then? He was a God

if you talking about vocalist, that range is very high to reach and when yu get older, vocals get worst.
