  • The New 2020 Ag-Truck from Sutter Buttes Manufacturing is a tractor that can be used for hauling grain during harvest, spraying crops and stomping (for straw management).
    This tractor video and equipment tour is full of exciting elements of how tractors are built and the ingenuity of the people behind the machines. Walk through and learn all about the future of farming through innovation and technology.
    Check out last week's video about driving tractors through mud during the stomping operation:

    Wow that's great. From what I understand these bankout wagons were created by local farmers to fill a need and now a local factory is taking the concept to the next level doing several tasks better than anything else. Fantastic

    Once again a great video. It's awesome to see a small town business thriving and making quality American made products. That's American ingenuity at it's best. I used to live in Lynden Washington were a company manufacture harvesters that picked raspberries. Last I heard they were still thriving and sending them all over the world, some modified for picking blueberries, coffee beans etc.

    I enjoyed this. I’m still not sure why not use a grain cart? Also hydraulic driven augers, is slow and having two augers is a pain eventually. Being able to use it for multiple things is a plus. Putting steel wheels on it for stomping or spraying means hauling it around. I’m just trying to figure it out, learn why you do it differently than we do in Southeast Missouri and Arkansas?

    • @nevadasmith1406
      @nevadasmith1406 5 років тому

      Kevin Burris this is Nevada I like your questions, I will try to help with the answers. We use the Ag-Trk due to the mud, we try to drain our fields but sometimes we hold the water too long or we get fall rains and using a typical grain cart you will get stuck. We chose to go with Hyd driven augers due to how fast they unloaded, we unloaded faster then most grain carts, we need the second auger due too the design. While the Ag-Trk is on the steel wheels we have to use a transport trailer, farmers around here are use too it and it doesn’t seem to be a problem
      I hope this helps and would like to answer any more questions you have

    I've been watching corn and soy bean harvesting for years now and am used to seeing grain carts in action, but this is only the second video in which I've seen these ag carts, so my question probably is strictly from being naive, but would it not be or could it not be a thing if these ag carts also pulled a bin trailer as well? I mean I understand more power would probably be needed, but wouldn't that be a fair trade-off....a little more power for more work in the field?

    Awesome stuff Matt so will the 1 rig be able to do all 3 tasks. Just swap wheels and bed for tank and go? Or will it be 3 separate trucks. Do they feed all the employees everyday or just that day. That would be neat if they did daily company lunches.

    • @Ricefarmingtv

      Scotty, great question! It’s the machine’s only speed: fast. The unloading auger is huge and just carries that much more rice. The ground speed is faster (ability to thresh faster) so the bank out has to keep up and one slip up means a lot of rice on the ground.

      Hi Homeland-Holt Ag Solutions is the local Claas (Lexion) dealership here in northern California and they are officially retailing the Ag-Truck with those colors. So I’m sure it was cleared with corporate-or even requested by top brass to help farmers adjust to the color change.

    Matthew, please add subtitles with the units in metrics, so non imperial viewers can understand (basically all the world except US, Liberia and Myanmar jajaja ), greatings from Argentina

      Frede! Oh man, great point my friend. I totally forgot. That would have made things a little easier for the metric/kilo crowd. Normally I try to add the conversions as subtitles but completely forgot this time.
